| Objective:To understand the characteristics of physical activity level,bone mineral density and body composition of Han and Zhuang nationalities college students in Guangxi and establish data base.At the same time,to analyze the differences of physical activity level,body composition and bone mineral density between college students of two nationalities,and the relationship between physical activity level,bone mineral density and body composition.Methods:The overall random sample of 18 to 25-year-old Han and Zhuang college students in Guangxi in school a total of 2083 cases as the object.,including 1461 Han(356 males and 1105 females)and 622 Zhuang(103 males and 519 females).A questionnaire(Chinese version)was used to collect their physical activity in the past 1 week,ultrasound bone mineral density instrument and bioelectrical impedance body composition tester were used to collect data of bone mineral density and bodycomposition of subjects respectively.Data were statistically analyzed using a SPSS 20.0 software.Results:1.Physical activity: The level of traffic-related,leisure-related,medium-intensity,high-intensity and total physical activity level of Han males were higher than that of female students(P<0.05);There was no significant gender difference in the physical activity level of Zhuang college students(P>0.05).In terms of leisure,high-intensity physical activity and total physical activity,the Han male students were higher than the Zhuang male students(P<0.05).There were no significant difference in the level of physical activity between the two nationalities female students(P> 0.05).2.Body composition: The fat mass,subcutaneous fat mass,body fat percentage and trunk fat mass of females from both nationalities were higher than those of males(P< 0.05),while the muscle parameters were lower than those of males(P<0.05).The height of Han males was higher than that of Zhuang males(P <0.01),other body composition indexes of Han females were higher than those of Zhuang female students except BMI and extracellular fluid(P < 0.05).3.Bone mineral density(BMD): The incidence rate of bone abnormalities in male students of both nationalities were higher than that female students(P<0.05).There was no ethnic difference in the incidence rate of bone abnormalities in males(P>0.05),and the incidence rate of bone abnormalities in Han females was higher than that of Zhuang females(P<0.05).The bone quality index(BQI)of male students of the two nationalities was higher than that of female students(P<0.05);there was no ethnic difference in BMD between Han and Zhuang male students(P>0.05);the BQI of Zhuang females was higher than that of Han females(P < 0.05).4.The BMD of Han male students was negatively correlated with body fat mass(r >0,P<0.05)and positively correlated with muscle mass,lean body mass and bodycomposition comprehensive score(r >0,P<0.05);Except for height and protein there were positively correlation between the other body composition index and BMD of Han females,and the body fat rate was positively correlated with the T value and Z value(r>0,P<0.05).Moderate intensity,high intensity physical activity level and total physical activity level of Han male students were positively correlated with muscle mass and comprehensive score(r>0,P<0.05).Walking physical activity level was negatively correlated with height of Han females(r<0,P<0.05),while high-intensity physical activity level was positively correlated with body muscle mass,fat mass,subcutaneous fat mass and comprehensive score(r>0,P<0.05).BMD of Han males was positively correlated with moderate intensity,high intensity physical activity level and total physical activity level(r>0,P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between BMD and physical activity level of Han female students(P>0.05).5.There were no correlation between body composition indexes and BMD of Zhuang male students(P>0.05),while there were positively correlation between muscle parameters and BMD of zhuang female students(r >0,P<0.05).There were a positively correlation between moderate intensity physical activity level and some body composition indexes of zhuang males(r >0,P<0.05).There was a positively correlation between high intensity physical activity level and some body composition indexes of zhuang females(r>0,P<0.05).There was no correlation between BMD and physical activity level of Zhuang students(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Physical activity: The level of some physical activity of Han boys are higher than that of Han female,and the level of leisure,high intensity and total physical activity are higher than that of Zhuang male students.2.Body composition: There are gender differences in body composition indicators.The fat parameters of female students are higher than males,while other bodycomposition indicators are lower than males.The height of Han males is higher than that of Zhuang males;some body composition indicators of Han females are higher than Zhuang females.3.Bone mineral density: The incidence rate of bone abnormalities in male students of both nationalities is higher than female,and the incidence rate of bone abnormalities in Han females is higher than that of Zhuang females.The BQI of male students of both nationalities is better than that of females,and the BQI of Zhuang females is higher than that of Han nationality females.4.Physical activity is an important factor affecting body composition and bone mineral density.Maintaining a moderate or higher intensity of physical activity level has a positively effect on improving physical health and slowing down the rate of bone loss.Body composition is also one of the important factors affecting bone mineral density. |
