Objective: After the introduction of Buddhism into China from the Han Dynasty,it gradually began to affect many aspects of the lives of our people.Especially in traditional Chinese medicine,since the Han Dynasty,the theoretical explanations related to Buddhism can be found in the ancient Chinese literature.The purpose of this paper is to study the content of ancient Indian Buddhism,which has a great influence on the theory of Chinese medicine,clinical medicine,prescriptions,doctor-patient relationship and medical environment.Methods: Multidisciplinary research methods such as history,philology,sociology,and traditional Chinese medicine are used in this paper.Excavating the part of the ancient Chinese literature on the influence of Buddhism on Chinese medicine theory and clinical medicine,this article of ancient books is sorted,categorized and compiled,and its theoretical and historical significance is analyzed.Results: The result consists of six interconnected parts.1.Buddhism spread has had a great impact on the theory of Chinese medicine(CM).When famous doctors in ancient China discussed the theory of traditional Chinese medicine such as "YUAN QI","YIN YANG" and "WU XING",they combined with the "SI DA" theory of Buddhism.In this respect,it not only introduces the relevant theoretical content of ancient Indian medicine,but also expands the theoretical connotation of traditional Chinese medicine.In addition,the Buddhist "FENG LUN" theory thought profoundly affects the theory of Chinese medicine ophthalmology.Due to the introduction of the "FENG LUN" theory,the interpretation of CM ophthalmology theory and commonly used drugs in ophthalmology is more vivid and vivid,and the purpose of the doctor’s medication can be expressed more comprehensively and concisely.2.The doctrines of the "four majors are empty" brought about by the spread of Buddhism have had a certain impact on the treatment of CM affective diseases.For example,the mantra in the Buddhist scriptures plays a role in psychological comfort,and is clinically a means of assisting surgery such as gold needle dislocation and acupuncture treatment.3.The golden needle-displacement technique introduced with the spread of Buddhism has become an important clinical technique for the treatment of cataract by Chinese medicine.It has also been recorded in ancient poetry.4.With the spread of Buddhism,some prescriptions in ancient Indian traditional medicine have also been introduced to China,enriching the types of Chinese medicines and prescriptions;5.The spirit of the Buddha and the way of practicing the monks enriched the content of Chinese medicine health care.6.Buddhism’s concepts of “compassion” and “altruism” help to establish a good doctor-patient relationship.Conclusion: The spread of ancient Indian Buddhism has brought about a significant impact on the theoretical explanation of Chinese medicine,clinical medicine,prescription and even doctor-patient relationship.Buddhism has a far-reaching influence on Chinese medicine in the process of communication.It has great academic value and clinical application value.It requires researchers to further explore the theoretical and practical value. |
