Objective: By investigating the status of blood glucose control and quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus in Xinjiang,the related factors were found to provide basis for better control of blood glucose in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus and improvement of quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus.Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 64 children and their families who participated in summer camp for type 1 diabetes mellitus in Xinjiang in 2018 by using the PedsQL4.0Children's Universal quality of Life Core scale to evaluate the status of blood glucose control and quality of life.Results:(1)Among 64 children type 1 diabetes mellitus,30 cases had good control of blood glucose in HbA1 c,and the rate of HbA1 c reaching the standard was 46.88%.In addition,28 of the 40 children of Han nationality had good control of blood glucose,and the rate of HbA1 c reaching the standard was 70%.(2)The overall quality of life of 64 children with type 1 diabetes averaged 79.48±15.69 points,the average physiological function was 82.71±17.41 points,the emotional function was70.94 ± 22.63 points,the social function was 87.97 ± 15.55 points,and the character function was 74.38 ± 21.73 points.(3)Type 1 diabetes child sex,age,family place of residence,total number of participation in diabetes summer camp/winter camp,HbA1 c,number of blood sugar monitoring and diabetes complications,parental marriage relationship,insulin pen,insulin pump in type 1 diabetes children physiological function,emotional function,social function there is no statistical significance in terms of rolefunction and overall quality of life.(4)The father's level of education affects the physiological function of children with type 1 diabetes(F=4.647,P=0.009),social function(F=3.836,P=0.020),role function(F=3.508,P=0.025)and the overall quality of life(F=3.508,P=0.025),the mother's education affects the physiological function of children with type 1 diabetes(F=4.189,P=0.014),social function(F=7.669,P=0.001)and the overall quality of life(F=4.927,P=0.007).(5)The family's economic income has an impact on the role of children with type 1 diabetes.The higher the economic income,the more affects the role of children with type 1 diabetes.(6)Diabetes diet in the emotional function of children with type 1 diabetes,analysis of variance P less than 0.05,with statistical differences.Conclusion: The current level of blood sugar control in children with type 1 diabetes is higher than before,but more than half of children still have poor blood sugar control.Parents' education,family income,and diabetes diet have an impact on the quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes.We should continue to vigorously advocate the diabetic patients follow a diabetic diet and improve the quality of life.
