Objective:1)The cross-sectional study aimed to describe the knowledge,attitude and practice on palliative care among the nurses in Shandong,and 2)to explore its determinants,so as to provide evidence for the relevant departments to develop relevant policies.Methods:The convenient sampling method was used to extract 5 third-class general hospitals and 2 second-class general hospital in northern.southem.eastern.western and central area among Shandong province.Then the nurses from 6 departments of cardiovascular,department of respiration,oncology,department of hematology,department of hematology,emergency department and intensive care unit were sampled from each hospital by stratified cluster sampling.Investigation of 1026 nurses were by filling out questionnaire with nursing leaders' help whom in those hospitals.The questionnaire included 4 parts:general information of the subject,the questionnaire of palliative nursing knowledge,the questionnaire of palliative nursing attitude,and the questionnaire of palliative nursing behavior.Results:A total of 1050 questionnaires were issued,and the invalid questionnaires were eliminated.In the end,1026 questionnaires were recorded into Stata 14.2 for statistical analysis.The results are as follows:The full score of the knowledge part of the questionnaire on the palliative care of nursing staff in Shandong province was 20 points,with an average of(8.04 + 2.49)points;The full score of the attitude was 60 points,with an average of(35.94 + 2.84)points;The full score of the part of the behavior was 40 points,with an average of(32.09 + 5.54)points.In all,the score of knowledge and attitude was low,and the part of behavior was higher.The simple factor analysis results:The knowledge part was statistically significant(P<0.05),such as whether to receive training and department category;There were statistical significance in attitude(P<0.05),included age,initial education,compilation,post and department;The behavior part was statistically significant(P<0.05):enriched age,nursing age,health status,training,intensity of work satisfaction,department and religious belief.Multivariate analysis results:the significant independent variables of univariate analysis were included in the multivariate non-conditional logistic regression model for analysis.The results showed that some departments had statistical significance in knowledge multivariate Logistic regression analysis.The multivariate Logistic regression analysis of behavior was significant for physical health and religious beliefs.The statistical variables of the total score of KAP were gender,age of care,health status and religious beliefs.Conclusion:The cognitive status of palliative nursing care for nursing staff in Shandong general hospital shows that nursing knowledge is lacking and attitude remains to be improved.it is an important way to improve the cognition of palliative care of nurses in Shandong general hospitals by developing relevant rules and regulations,strengthening the supervision of relevant departments,and enhancing training for nurses.
