Objectives:It described nurses’knowledge, attitude and practice on palliative care from gradeⅢ-Ahospitals in Changchun city, analyzed the influential factors, put forward to opi-nions and suggestions of improving nurses’ knowledge, attitude and practice and pro-vided the basis for relevant departments to formulate relevant policies, to promote thedevelopment of palliative care in our country.Methods:From September to December2012,628nurses from six grade Ⅲ-A hospitalswere asked to fill in a questionnaire which was made up of five aspects, as follows:general datas of participants, general cognitive situation of palliative care, PalliativeCare Quiz for Nursing(PCQN), attitude questionnaire of palliative care practice quest-ionnaire of palliative care. A database was built by Epidata3.1and the dates were an-alyzed by SPSS17.0.Statistical methods, such as descriptive analysis, t test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, were used.Results:1.The average score of20items was0.44±0.20for PCQN. Among the score ofthree dimensions,“philosophy and principles”was the lowest(0.35±0.28),“psycholo-gical spirit and social support” was the highest(0.49±0.32).2.The average score of12items was2.95±0.25for the attitude questionnaire ofpalliative care. Among the scores of three dimensions,“nurse-patient communication”was the lowest (2.80±0.58),“effectiveness of palliative care”was the highest(3.07±0.37). 3.The average score of8items was3.80±0.72for the practice questionnaire ofpalliative care. Among the scores of three dimensions,“phychological nursing”wasthe lowest(3.82±0.72),“psychological nursing”was the highest(3.90±0.82).4.In terms of age, department, position, nurses had significant difference(P<0.05)in knowledge of palliative care; nurses accepting educational training, talking aboutdeath topic had higher scores.5.In terms of age, post,education background, nurses had significant difference(P<0.05)in attitude of palliative care; nurses accepting educational training, talkingabout death topic, having religion had higher scores.6.In terms of age, department, position, nurses had significant difference (P<0.05)in practice of palliative care; nurses accepting educational training, talking about dea-th topic had higher scores.Conclusion:1.Knowledge of palliative care was lack, attitude was not positive and practicewas done well for clinical nurses in Changchun.2.There were influential factors in knowledge, practice of palliative care, such as,age, departments, position, educational training, death topic.3.There were influential factors in attitude of palliative care, such as, age, post, ed-ucational training, death topic, religion.
