| ObjectiveTo investigate the influences of Butylphthalide on serum IL-6 and Neurological function score in patients with acute cerebral infarctionMetholdsA total of 60 patients with acute cerebral infarction patients whose time since stroke onset within 48 hours were divided into a butylphthalide group and a conventional treatment group randomly, and 30 healthy people were selected as a healthy control group. The patients of conventional treatment group was treated with routine treatment.Butylphthalide group was treated with Butylphthalide and Sodium Chloride Injection apart from routine treatment. The course of the treatment for both groups was 14 days.On the day of hospitalization and on the 7th and 14 th days, the two groups of patients were graded according to the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and the Barthel Index. At the same time,IL-6 levels in the two groups were measured before treatment and on the 7th day of treatment. The changes of IL-6levels,NIHSS,and BI scores before and after treatment in patients were analyzed.Data were analyzed statistically by SPSS22.0 software.Results1.There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)of age, gender, high risk factors, etc.between Butylphthalide group and conventional treatment group.2.Comparison of IL-6 levels: Before treatment,IL-6 levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction were significantly higher than those in healthy people(p<0.01);There was no significant difference in the level of IL-6 before treatment between Butylphthalide group and conventional treatment group(P=0.617).On the 7th day of treatment,IL-6 levels in two groups were significantly lower than before treatment(p<0.05);On the 7th day,IL-6 levels in the butylphthalide group were significantly lower than the conventional group(P=0.036).3.Comparison of NIHSS scores and BI scores: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the mean NIHSS and BI scores between the two groups(p=0.975).Compared with before treatment, there was a strong difference in NIHSS and BI scores between the two groups on the 7th and 14 th days of treatment..Compared with the conventional treatment group, there were significant differences in NIHSS scores and BI scores on the 7th and 14 th day of treatment in the butyroside group(P< 0.05).4.NIHSS score BI score and IL-6 correlation: NIHSS score and IL-6 levels were positively correlated, the correlation coefficient r =5.0.480(p <0.001);BI score and IL-6‘s level was negatively correlated, the correlation coefficient r = 0.428(P=0.001).Conclusion1.For patients with acute cerebral infarction, treatment with butylphthalide can significantly improve neurological function and improve the ability of daily living;2.Butylphthalide can reduce serum IL-6 levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and the improvement of neurological function was correlated with the decrease of IL-6 level;3.Butylphthalide may reduce inflammation and promote neurological recovery by reducing IL-6 in acute cerebral infarction. |
