| Objectives: Acute cerebral infarction is a common and frequently-occurring disease of the central nervous system.Ischemic region of acute cerebral infarction is composed of the central necrotic area and surrounding ischemic penumbra.Due to the existence of collateral circulation in the ischemic penumbra,there are still a number of surviving nerve cells.As much as possible to save the penumbra of live ischemic nerve cells in a short period of time becomes a key treatment.Evidence-based medicine confirms the effect of ultra-early thrombolytic therapy for the rescue ischemic penumbra nerve cells.Nowadays,however,there were only less than 3% of patients with acute cerebral infarction benefited from thrombolysis within the time window.Therefore,treatments of patients with acute cerebral infarction who miss the time window for thrombolytic therapy become a hot topic and difficulty.Butylphthalide(soft capsules and injection),the advanced new drug of China can act on multiple pathological aspects of acute cerebral infarction.It has the efficacy of improving microcirculation and protecting mitochondrial function.Butylphthalide can as well as improve hypoxia tolerance of the ischemic penumbra neurons,then extend the therapeutic time window.Butylphthalide Injection is recently launched for clinical use.This study was designed to assess the clinical efficacy,safety and impact on patients’ cognitive function with adding butylphthalide injection treatment.Methods: 86 patients suffered from acute cerebral infarction whose NIHSS scores was 4-24 points at the first 48 h of onset were selected.These patients were randomly divided into the control and the treatment group of adding Butylphthalide Injection,each group had 43 cases.There were not significant differences in basic biologicalinformation,basic diseases,NIHSS scores and so on between the two groups.All patients were given standardized treatment program,including anti-platelet aggregation drugs,statins,as well as individualized treatments of the basic diseases.The control group received Salvia TMP injection treatment to improve blood circulation.In the treatment group,Butylphthalide Injection was added based on Salvia TMP injection treatment(25mg Bid,total seven days).After continued seven days’ treatment,compared NIHSS scores,BI and MMSE scores between patients in the two groups.Results: There was not any patient excluded in the whole study.The basic biological information,basic diseases and admission NIHSS scores between the two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05).NIHSS,BI and MMSE scores was no significant difference(p>0.05)between the patients of the two groups before treatment.After different treatments of continued seven days,there are significant differences in NIHSS,BI and MMSE scores(P <0.05)between the two groups of patients,which indicates that adding Butylphthalide Injection has better efficacy than the control group.Conclusion: Based on the standard treatment of acute cerebral infarction,adding Butylphthalide injection could significantly reduce patients’ acute neurological deficit,improve their cognitive function,and enhance their life quality. |
