Investigation On Life Quality And Social Support Among The Elder Left-behind Population Sample Of Hunan

Objective: To understand the status of health-related quality of life and social support of the rural left-behind elderly in Wuqiangxi Town,investigate the impact of left-behind health on life-related quality of life and the relationship between social support and health-related quality of life,and provide a scientific basis for the community to improve the health-related quality of life of the elderly left behind,and provide data base for further study about health quality of the elderly left.Methods:From July to August in 2014,a total of 1188 children aged over 60 years old were randomly selected from the village of Wuqiang Town,with random sampling method.As the object of investigation.The villagers' committee provides basic information for the elderly,investigating the general situation of the elderly,the health-related quality of life and the social support by interviewed investigators who have conducted uniform surveys using face-to-face interviews.Data were collected and analyzed by Spss13.0 and Sas9.3.The analytical methods were statistically described,chi-square test,quantile regression,and least-squares regression.Results: 1.The sample is in line with the "rural elderly" definition of possession of 33.08%.2.Compared with non-leftbehind elderly,the leftbehind elderly aged 60-70 years old accounted for 76.1%,non-left-behind elderly only 52.1%,leftbehind elderly were younger;left-behind elderly have more spouses,life is more tired and more irregular,more smokers,sleepness is worse.the scores of life-related scores of life-related scores of the leftbehind elderly and the non-leftbehind elderly were not statistically significant(P> 0.05).3.The quantile regression results indicated leftbehind elderly were in relation to the high distribution and low distribution(10th,20 th,90th)of the health quality of Life Total score,low distribution(10th)of physiological filed,high distribution(90th)of psychological filed,and high distribution(10th,20th)of environmental filed(P<0.05).4.There were significant differences in subjective support,objective support and social support among the non-leftbehind,leftbehind elderly staying alone,and non-leftbehind staying alone(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that subjective support and objective support scores were positively correlated with health-related quality of life,and the results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression results showed that the positive factors in the field of physiology of the leftbehind elderly were age,economic status,alcohol consumption,exertion,laws of life,number of medical visits,quality of sleep,illness and discomfort.The positive factors in the psychological field of the leftbehind elderly were social support score,economic status,fatigue level,life rules,sleep quality.Conclusion: 1.33.08% of the total sample accorded with the definition of “Elder left behind”;2.Left behind was the negative impact of life-related quality of life of the elderly factors,especially for the total score of HRQOL poor and good state.Living alone was the main factors of the social support of elderly;3.Social support had a positive impact on the psychological,social and environmental field of left-behind elderly.Younger,good economic condition,drinking,less tired,regular life,Less time to see a doctor,sleep well,no sickness and discomfort was positive factors of left behind elderly in the physiological field.Higher social support,good economic situation,less tired,regular life,sleep well was positive factors of left behind elderly in the psychological field.
