| Objective: Based on the theory of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment,this study investigated the quality of life of patients with spleen deficiency and liver depression after radiotherapy and chemotherapy,and the influence of Spleen-soothing and Liver-invigorating Therapy on their quality of life.To explore the significance of Spleen-soothing and Liver-invigorating Therapy in alleviating the adverse reactions and improving patients,quality of life of after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.And provide a clinical basis for the treatment of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma patients with spleen deficiency and liver depression syndrome after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Methods: In this experiment,using the Non-randomized controlled clinical trial study,collected 40 patients who were diagnosed as NPC at the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Provincial people’s Hospital section for outpatient,and after the standardized radiotherapy and chemotherapy regimen for 3 months to1 year.Their ages are between 18 and 70 years old.They all signed the informed consent and cooperate with the study.Then divided into experimental group(voluntarily taking Chinese medicine)and control group(blank).The experimental group took orally invigorating spleen and nourishing liver,while the control group did not receive special treatment.The quality of Life questionnaire for patients with Nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy referenced the internationally recognized universal adaptive quality of life scale for cancer patients-European Organization for Research and treatment of Cancer(EORTC-C30)and combined with related symptoms after radiotherapy and chemotherapy for Nasopharyngeal carcinoma.The patients in the two groups were filled out on the first day and 3 months later.Finally,the quality of life scores of the two groups were statistically analyzed.Results:The quality of life and scores in 6 fields were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.The results suggest that treatment group were better than those in the control group in the somatic function,systemic symptoms,head and neck symptoms and overall quality of life fields after 3 months(P < 0.05).While there was no significant difference between two groups in the social family role field,the emotion cognition domain and the economic difficulty aspect(P > 0.05).In the comparison of head and neck symptoms with the highest scores,the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of eating difficulty,dry mouth and ear symptoms(P < 0.05).there was no significant difference between the two groups in opening mouth and hoarseness(P >0.05),and there was no significant difference in the field of emotion and cognition before and after the experiment in the control group(P >0.05).But the difference of emotion cognition before and after treatment group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.In this experiment,invigorating spleen and nourishing liver decoction can improve the overall quality of Life of patients with Nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy2.The method of invigorating spleen and nourishing liver can improve the systemic symptoms and head and neck symptoms of patients who after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Especially in the aspects of nasal obstruction and runny nose,tinnitus,dry mouth,difficulty in eating,ear symptoms and so on.3.The quality of life of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma decreased in varying degrees after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The worst areas of patients’ quality of life are head and neck symptoms,physical function and emotional cognition in this study.Of which,functional impairment of head and neck had the greatest effect on quality of life. |
