Observation Of The Effect Of Taohong Siwu Decoction On The Early Postoperative Swelling Of Ankle Joint Fracture

Objective:In order to investigate the effect of taohong siwu decoction on early swelling after ankle fracture.Methods:Randomized grouping was used to select patients with an ankle fracture in the Department of Bone Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between January 2017 and February 2018.A total of 82patients(including 41 in the treatment group and 41 in the control group)participated in the trial,of which 6 cases failed to complete the trial,and finally included 76 cases.All enrolled patients were observed for 9 days according to the experimental design requirements,1 day after the treatment(before treatment),3 days(the treatment of the 2nd day),5 days(the treatment of the 4th day),7(the treatment of the 6th day),9 Days(treatment day 8)Observe swelling and pain.Observed indicators: swelling value(cm,peripheral diameter of the measured limb-contralateral circumference),VAS pain index score.Sp SS24.0 software was used for statistical analysis of data to determine the results.Results:1.There was no statistically significant difference in gender,age,fracture classification,and ankle circumference between the two groups(P >0.05),indicating that the test conditions were consistent and comparable.2.In the initial stage of treatment(1-3 days after operation): There was no significant difference in swelling value and VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05).In the middle treatment period(4th and 6th days of treatment),there was significant difference in swelling value and VAS score between the two groups(P<0.05).At the late stage of treatment(8 days of treatment),the differences in swelling values and VAS scores between the two groups showed significant statistical significance(P<0.01).Compared with before and after treatment in the same group of patients,theswelling value and VAS score rapidly decreased with time,and the comparison results between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Efficacy evaluation: The clinical efficacy of the two groups was tested by rank sum test,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 97% in the treatment group and 47% in the control group;the total effective rate in the control group was 84%,the efficiency is 18%.Conclusion : Taohong Siwu Decoction is widely used in clinical practice as a representative of drugs that promote blood circulation,eliminate swelling,and relieve pain.The results of this experiment suggest that it has obvious swelling and analgesic effects on the early postoperative swelling of the ankle fracture.Reasonable functional exercises(such as pumping exercises)can improve early swelling and pain after fracture surgery.The results of this study show that when the two are combined,they can exert a better therapeutic effect in clinical practice and are worthy of clinical application.
