Objective: To evaluate the use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of vascular dementia in 19 kinds of double core TCM periodicals in order to provide strong evidence for clinical treatment of vascular dementia.Method:In 2014,the latest Chinese core journals in Peking University Library and the latest 2015-2016 years of CSCD directory,a total of 19 double-core TCM periodicals as target journals, retrieval in the form of electronic retrieval combined with manual retrieval including Chongqing Weipu Chinese science and technology journal database,China knowledge network database,Chinese biomedical literature database,Wanfang database and other Chinese databases, the retrieval time of the major databases is from January 1,2010 to December 30,2017,the retrieved literature was selected by two experimenters, with exclusion criteria, determine the eventual inclusion of the literature, extracting data according to the seven elements of PICOFSn,evaluation of the included documents using Oxford evidence hierarchy in 2001.Result:Final inclusion 38 articles,II b evidence was the largest in the literature, accounting for 94.74%;I B evidence accounted for 2.63%;category IV evidence 2.63%;randomized controlled trial 92%;semi-randomized controlled trials accounted for 5% and non-randomized controlled trials accounted for 3%;there was only one article(3%)of the literature with follow-up,no follow-up was provided in the rest of the literature;there are more papers without safety indicators, accounting for 60%,and 40% references on safety indicators; To evaluate the curative effect of vascular dementia, the outcome indexes are MMSE,total effective rate,SDSVDand MOCA.Conclusion:The literature included in the paper has some deficiencies in the seven elements of PICOFSn,not enough attention was paid to the follow-up time, and the outcome indicators were not uniform.Applying the Oxford evidence grade evaluation in 2011 to the literature,it is concluded that the quality of clinical trials of traditional Chinese medicine needs to be further improved at present.
