Objective:Retrospective analysis of structural allogeneic freeze-dried bone treatment of lumbar tuberculosis patients. Methods:During the period from March 2012 to July 2016,220 patients with lumbar tuberculosis underwent surgical treatment in our department, and of 198 patients with complete follow-up were enrolled in this study. There were 105 males and 93 females aged 44 ± 15 years old(16-80 years).168 cases are single-stage infection and 30 cases are 2-stage and more than 2 infections.129 patients underwent simple anterior surgery,52 underwent simple posterior surgery and 17 underwent anterior and posterior approaches.Evaluate neurological function, pain score, deformity correction, degree of fusion, fusion rate and complications. Results:Compared with preoperative and the final follow-up of all patients ESR,C-reactive protein was improved, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Patients were followed up for 30±11 months.2 patients had fractures of the bone graft and 6 patients had recurrent tuberculosis.2 of them had sinus formation. The average preoperative JOA score was 17.0 ± 2.8 points, the average follow-up time was 24.8 ± 3.3 points, and the rate of JOA improvement was 65%.The preoperative Cobb angle was-1.1 ° ± 4.2 ° and 5.3 ° ± 2.7 °,4.1 ° ± 2.3 ° at follow-up and 6.0 ° postoperatively. The average length of orthopedic loss at the final follow-up was 1.2 °.There was a significant difference in Cobb angle at the last follow-up(P <0.05).ASIA grades had improved after treatment.X-ray evaluation of allogeneic lyophilized bone fusion time is 9.3±2.2 months,CT evaluation of fusion time 12.7±3.1 months.Assesed the Grade I patients by CT,59 cases had complete trabecular bone formation in the 78 cases, the positive rate 76%.Conclusions:On the basis of systemic anti-TB drugs,it is safe and feasible to treat lumbar tuberculosis with allogeneic lyophilized bone.
