As is known to all,acupuncture schools can lead acupuncturology in our country to progressive prosperity.The further development of acupuncture requires acupuncturists to research acupuncture schools,to innovate development model of acupuncture schools,to carry forward the clinical advantages of acupuncture schools,to promote the knowledge innovation of acupuncture.Therefore,this paper is aimed to reorganize the formation of contemporary acupuncture schools,to dig commonalities and characteristic of forming conditions of contemporary acupuncture schools,to summarize the rules of forming the schools,to provide reference for knowledge innovation of acupuncture and the birth of new schools.This research mainly utilizes the review of literary sources along with case study and comparative study.According to the inclusive criteria and exclusive criteria,we choose 26 out of 71 contemporary acupuncture schools as the main object of study.Afterwards,the author classifies contemporary acupuncture schools mainly into the genre characterized by the unique way of selecting acupoints,the genre characterized by innovating treatment region,the genre characterized by the innovation of acupuncture technique,the genre characterized by the improvement of acupuncture needle,national characteristics genre,the genre characterized by researching all acupuncture academic system.In this paper,by combing the formation process of the contemporary main acupuncture schools,the author discusses the factors that have affected the the formation and development of acupuncture schools from politics,economics,culture,territory,era and other perspectives.The results are listed as follow:societal change impacts the academic environment of forming the genre,cultural diversity enriches the academic foundation of forming the genre,the founder of the genre lay the foundation for the academic thoughts of the genre,clinical change during the development continuously improves the academic system of the genre,regional differences strengthens the academic characteristics during the formation,the diversification of inheritance pattern expands the academic power which is needed to form the genre.At last,this thesis analyzes deficiencies in the process of development of contemporary acupuncture schools,such as the weakening of academic features,the lack of summary,the lack of education.This study tries to make recommendations about developing acupuncture schools in this period,for instance,intensifying the support of national policy,reforming the education and improving the quality of inheritors;strengthening the communication between the schools and continuing to deepen the characteristics,adapting to the changing times and taking a variety of channels to achieve dynamic inheritance.
