Assessment Of Rural Domestic Water Safety In Handan City

With the development of society and the improvement of people’s living standards,people’s demand for water for daily life is increasing,and the demand for water quality is becoming higher and higher.Handan has a total population of 10.547 million,of which the rural population accounts for 58.2%.Therefore,the correct evaluation of the quantity and quality of rural domestic water security in Handan City is of great significance to the overall planning of rural areas in Handan City and the improvement of people’s quality of life.Through literature review,visits,sampling and data analysis,the safety evaluation of rural domestic water use in Handan City is made,and the following conclusions are drawn:1.The average annual precipitation in Handan City is only 548.9 mm.The precipitation from June to September accounts for 70-80%of the annual precipitation.Surface water is relatively abundant in Zhanghe area of western mountainous area,and there is basically no surface water available in eastern plain.Handan has only 119 m~3per capita water resources,which is 94.3%less than 2100 m~3 per capita in the whole country.It is a serious water shortage area.2.The rural areas of Handan City have realized large-scale water supply projects,the scale of water plants is over 1,000 tons,the population of water supply exceeds10,000 people,and the total population of centralized water supply in urban pipeline network coverage area accounts for 63.76%of the total population in need of water supply in rural areas,and the population of water supply below the scale accounts for26.24%of the total population in need of water supply in rural areas.Groundwater and surface water accounted for 72.9%and 27.1%of the total rural domestic water use in Handan.3.The surface water quality in the upper reaches of Zhanghe River and Qingzhanghe River in the western mountainous area of Handan City is better.The surface water quality in the middle and lower reaches of Fuyang River is mostly super-class III water,even class IV and V water..4.The main problems of rural domestic water use are the shortage of surface water,the poor quality of groundwater,the low level of centralized water supply for rural domestic water,the vulnerability of water sources to pollution,inadequate water quality monitoring facilities,and the lack of necessary water quality detection means for small and medium-sized water supply stations and water supply sources.5.It is suggested to strengthen the supervision of rural water resources,develop regional centralized water supply,strengthen the protection of water sources,do a good job of open source and throttling,and establish and improve the online monitoring system of rural drinking water quality.Gradually improve the quality of rural domestic water in Handan and improve the level of rural water security.
