Glycyrrhizic acid is a triterpenoid saponin compound contained in glycyrrhiza and it is also one of the main active ingredients of glycyrrhiza,which has been widely used in many fields.In order to determine a process route for extraction and purification of glycyrrhizic acid suitable for industrial production,Xinjiang wild glycyrrhiza was used as the research material in this study.The method for determining the content of glycyrrhizic acid,the method for extracting glycyrrhizic acid from glycyrrhiza and the purification technology of glycyrrhizic acid was systematically investigated,.At the beginning,the content of glycyrrhizic acid was analyzed by ultraviolet spectrophotometry in this paper.The precision experiment and the repetitive experiment results show that the method is high accuracy and high reliability.Secondly,the extraction method of glycyrrhizic acid was studied by experiment.The ethanol solution was selected as the extraction solvent after the extraction effects of different solvents was compared.The glycyrrhizic acid extraction experiment was carried out by hot reflux method and ultrasonic method.The effects of different factors on the extraction of glycyrrhizic acid were investigated by single factor experiment.The optimum extraction conditions of glycyrrhizic acid reflux method were determined by orthogonal experiments as follows: solid-liquid ratio 1:20(g/m L),extraction time 2 h,extraction temperature 80?.The optimal extraction conditions by ultrasonic method were as follows: the ultrasonic power was 180 w,the extraction temperature was 70?,the extraction time was 75 min,and the solid-liquid ratio was 1:20(g/m L).Finally,the glycyrrhizic acid extract was purified using a membrane separation technique in this study.The optimum purification conditions of glycyrrhizic acid were ascertained by studying the factors affecting the purification results of glycyrrhizic acid,as follows: membrane diameter of 0.10 ?m,pressure of 0.10 MPa,and temperature of30?,the purity of glycyrrhizic acid by using this purification method is 85.32 %.In conclusion,the method is facile,easy to operate,and cost-effective.Moreover,the purity of the product is high,which is suitable for industrial operation.
