Outcropping areas have experienced thousands of years of prospecting history and more than a century of systematically geological survey,the possibility of finding new mines is getting smaller and smaller.Therefore,prospecting in the coverage areas has becoming the human demand for dried up resources.Deep-penetrating geochemistry is a new developed method of geochemical exploration for finding concealed ore deposits in coverage areas.Zijin mining area is covered by Quaternary and volcanic rocks.Although it has been exploited for many years,the surfer of the ore deposit and peripheral zone has not been heavily polluted,these areas can be used as a reasonable selection to carry out deep-penetrating geochemical methods and technological research.Zijinshan large-scale Cu-Au deposit is the first high-sulphur epithermal type deposit found in China mainland.Porphyry Cu-Mo deposit,large-scale mesothemral Cu deposit,large-scale low-sculpture type epithermal Ag-Au-Cu deposit and U deposit were discovered at the deep part of Zijinshan ore district and its periphery area.These deposits,mineralized mineralization,were controlled by same geothermal system and overlapped reciprocally in space from the top down.The research of ore-forming geochemistry in this mining area have been conducted in this paper,we also test the mineral composition and conduct some research on mineralogy of this deposit.Geogas and soil samples have been collected in Zijin mining area.In order to verifying the effectiveness of deep-penetrating geochemistry,we discussed the anomalies of geogas and mobile forms of soils and comparing with the location of the ore body.The research of GEOGAS and MEMOG both achieved expected result:obvious anomalies of combination of elements were appeared around the contact zone of the ultramafic intrusion and surrounding rocks or above the ore body,confirming the theory that geogas migrate along the structural fissure.By comparison and analysis of Cu/Au,Co/Ni,Au/Ag and REE among deep penetrating,ore rock samples and volcanic rocks,we find that geogases,mobile forms of soil and ore rock have the similar Cu/Au,Co/Ni,Au/Ag,spider plot of multi-elements and REE distribution patterns.These phenomenon tell us that geogases,mobile forms of soils and ore rocks are from the same source and that the anomaly source are underlying ore body.
