With the penetration of knowledge and the development of innovation in the field of global,companies are facing increasingly fierce competition,they must rely on continuous innovation to keep the competitive advantage.In order to improve the creative level,an increasing number of R&D companies rely on teamwork to configure their internal resources.Owing to the fact that the team work has the advantages of goal consistency,strong centripetal force and complement,it has been the most commonly used working form when R&D companies carry out their creative activities.So,it has been the focus of organizations to improve creativity in team situations.Meanwhile,the research of team creativity has been a new research direction in academia,and researchers have begun to pay attention to the impact factors of team creativity.Knowledge is the key resource that playing an absolutely necessary role in creative activities.Especially in open innovation era,it is difficult for teams which depend on only internal resources to deal with the external challenges,boundary spanning has become the core of the team for existence and development.However,owing to the fact that team leaders are team's head,it has been the important projects for team leaders to undertake the task of boundary spanning and improve team creativity in innovation era.Based on the above background,from the perspective of knowledge management,this study brings knowledge searching and knowledge tacitness to the influence model of team leader's boundary spanning behavior on team creativity.Through the data analysis of 110 R&D team leaders,the result shows that team leader's boundary spanning behavior(diplomatic behavior,coordination behavior and detection behavior)has a positive effect on team creativity;knowledge searching plays a full mediating role between team leader's diplomatic behavior /coordinationbehavior/detection behavior and team creativity;knowledge tacitness weakens the positive correlation between knowledge searching and team creativity.
