Purpose: To study the difference of the five kinds of treatment modes of traditional Chinese medicine on the improvement of symptoms in patients with colorectal carcinoma.Material and method: A retrospective analysis from March 2015 to March 2016 in the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine department of oncology for clinical data of patients with colorectal cancer.To establish the clinical information database of patients,accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria for screening in strict.Finally we selected 221 cases into this study and divided them into Chinese consolidate group(without cancer),protective group(adequate chemotherapy),loading group(reduction of chemotherapy),maintain group(observation after effective chemotherapy),which combined with western medicine anti-tumor therapy and pure Chinese medicine treatment group.Then we used the SPSS 17.0 statistical software,paired-sample t test and chi-square test to statistic and analysis the improvement of symptoms of the 5 groups after treatment.Results: 1.221 cases of colorectal cancer patients after treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,the symptom integral of fatigue,shortness of breath,abnormal stool(including constipation,thin pond,blood in stool),pain,nausea,vomiting,loss of appetite,insomnia and so on,were significantly improved(P < 0.05).Among them,the improvement rate of fatigue symptoms after treatment was highest,74.88%,followed by loss of appetite,70.37%,stool symptoms had the lowest efficiency,at 28.57%.The improvement rate of other symptoms after treatment was between 54% and 64%.2.5 groups of colorectal cancer patients with symptoms improved in varying degrees after treatment,the average symptom score compared with those before treatment were significantly decreased(P < 0.01).The symptoms of the treatment efficiency,two groups of traditional Chinese medicine treatment with western medicine anti-tumor treatment were compared,protective group were obviously higher than that of loading group(90.91% vs68.63%,P < 0.05);between the two groups after western medicine anti-tumor treatment,consolidate group were significantly higher than that in maintaining group(80.52% vs64.52%,P < 0.05);the pure Chinese medicine treatment group was 22%,significantly lower then former 4 groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.The treatment of traditional Chinese medicine can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of patients with colorectal cancer.2.The curative effect of symptoms of the traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of colorectal cancer,depending on whether the presence of tumor and tumor progression,with or without chemotherapy and chemotherapy on intensity.Five kinds of treatment modes can improve the curative effect of clinical symptoms in different degrees of the corresponding patients with colorectal cancer.
