The Research On The Hosting Speech Speed Of CCTV Spring Festival Gala

Speech speed is an important element of language expression for hosts.It plays a critical role in the hosts control of the hosting schedule.Meanwhile,coupled with non-verbal skills of broadcasting and hosting,it can convey people's ideas or feelings,especially in the Spring Festival Gala with strict time limit and communicating culture and customs.Spring Festival Gala has been held over 30 times up till now,it records the changes in the culture,psychology and aesthetics of the society since reform and opening up in China.Its profound historical origin and varied scenes determine that the speech speed of hosting can not remain unchanged,while the lack of researches on the hosting speech speed of Spring Festival Gala makes people's cognition of speech speed stay at the basic levels of being fast or slow,ignoring how the hosting speech speed of Spring Festival Gala adapts to the characteristics of different contexts of times and different scenes,among other problems.By means of corpus construction,statistical analysis and case analysis,this paper carries out diachronic researches on the overall characteristic of hosting speech speed of Spring Festival Gala over the past 30 years,discusses the pattern and characteristics of speech speed in different periods,and has an in-depth analysis on the reasons for the change in speech speed from the perspectives of the hosts themselves,hosting content,environment,medium and audience.By integrating the context of specific scenes,it summarizes the way to choose scenes in the Spring Festival Gala currently and how to choose and control speech speed,while proposing specific solutions and strategies for the problems cropping up in speech speed.Finally,it summarizes the experience and enlightenment of hosting speech speed of the Spring Festival Gala,and proposes three experiences in terms of the application of speech speed by hosts of the Spring Festival Gala,and suggestions for the creation teams of the Spring Festival Gala.The research discovers that: The hosting speech speed of the Spring Festival Gala has experience the changes of three periods,in the 1980 s,there was great fluctuation in speech speed and no pattern to follow,in the 1990 s,the speed became slower and stabilized,after 2000,the speech speed has been accelerated and recently it has stabilized,the candidates of hosts of the Spring Festival Gala have become professionalized,the control of the time limit of Spring Festival and the script of the Spring Festival Gala have become stricter,there have been changes in the social andcultural atmosphere and the aesthetics of the audience,and the ways of medium communication have become interactive.From the perspective of the hosting speech speed of different scenes,speech speed should be chosen according to the characteristics of scene,confirmed according to time limit and the length of hosting texts,and adjusted by combining non-verbal skills.Speech speed control plans should be set up for zero-point announcement,emergent plans should be set up for emergencies such as adjustment of programs.In a word,hosts can not blindly pursue fast or slow speed,they should concentrate on the internal essence,follow the changes of the language context of the times and choose the speech speed,adjust and control speech speed adapting to the characteristics of different scenes,and apply skillful language expression skills and speech speed to express the emotions and information to be transmitted accurately.Only when speech speed can be adjusted appropriately while being faced with emergencies can the hosts live up to their work and win the recognition of the audience.
