The Representation And Imagination Of Countryside In The Reality Show

After the outdoor reality shows named “Daddy,Where are we going” being famous in2013,the recording scene extends from the interior to the outdoors include countrysides.The outdoor reality shows choose different countrysides as the recording scene,in order to express the story theme and help for the narrative program.Each of these programs depict different countryside images of different themes,and there are four types of countrysides in the domestic reality show: poverty and backwardness countrysides;beautiful and quiet countrysides;deep cultural heritage countrysides;comfortable and leisure countrysides.The creators of domestic reality show and the program guests use the experience of the "other" to imagine countrysides.This imagination is reflected in the full-time panorama of the program lens language,including the picture,commentary,sound effects and other program language and program guests subjective perspective,the program on the imagination of the countryside to reshape the audience imagination also created a landscape of the countryside.The lens language to describe countryside is divided into countryside space,countryside villagers,countryside life in this paper,it is discovered that there are different countryside images in the current domestic reality shows that have different theme,but at the same time,this shows can not get rid of the common features: The image of countrysides in these TV shows is complex and contradictory.However,in the era of visual consumption,the reality shows make these countrysides as landscape which is a process to be spectacle to led to the development of local film and television tourism.On the basis of field research of the Longwan Village of Gansu Province,which was the entertainment scene of “Daddy,Where are we going ?”,this paper will through three parts(before the show recording,recording,after recording)to analyze the imagination of this village and the influences in all directions from the TV show to Longwan Village.Through the DepthInterviews and field observation,it's found that although the Longwan Village plays different roles in different periods,for example,the program group decided to choose Longwan Village as a entertainment scene,and then turned into a tourist resort,it always attached to it's own imagination in the show.And the true part of the village was "removed" by the lens in the show.Drawn the conclusion in the last chapter,which is that the imagination about countryside in reality shows is nothing but a kind of something in the Pseudo-environment and the simulation society and subjective imagination based on the experience of the "other".According to the needs of the reality show and the audience's viewing needs in this visual consumption era,the producers of TV shows make the countryside be some of fictional spectacle.And the audience complete their own countryside imagination by this fictional spectacle.At this point,the countryside always exists as an imaginary "other".
