In image processing,the image edge is often more critical,because in an image,the need to extract the main goal,often included in the edge,and after an image is converted to pixels,you can find a collection of the edge information is the most severe for those changes the.Whether it is still image compression,image feature extraction,to detect the target image edge,it can be processed,the next step so that the application of edge detection technology is very extensive,need to be involved in image processing in almost all fields are required to detect the edge,this is a a commonly used technique,so edge detection is of practical significance.This system realizes the real-time detection of the power of the image,the image data acquisition by using OV7670 camera,then the image information is collected,stored in SDRAM chip,and design 2 FIFO the internal resources of FPGA,and then in the FPGA hardware platform,the realization of the Sobel algorithm for module.Convolution in SDRAM image of power by using the Sobel algorithm,to achieve the goal of edge detection,then use the VGA display detection value of this series include OV7670,FPGA,VGA,SDRAM and other devices together constitute a real-time edge detection system.This is designed to solve the image processing speed as demand,either by computer or by using multi CPU edge treatment,edge processing,can realize the need for multi CPU processing,processing mode,processing a frame image also needs 30 ms,and the project needs 10 ms time is needed to process an image,so the system uses FPGA as the main controller,FPGA as a kind of parallel computing,data processing speed,can achieve the processing requirements of 10 ms,frequency of camera data acquisition of the system to achieve the frequency of 13 MHz,and the data of the 100 MHz frequency the speed of the SDRAM storage,and realizes the 13 MHz frequency of the VGA display,and Canny algorithm in dual threshold to determine the way to apply this system to Combined with the Sobel algorithm,power edge detection,which is the design of the main innovation,realize the improvement of Sobel algorithm,to extract power better rim,to facilitate the subsequent power supply port location.
