The wide application of blended learning will most likely be one of the short-term trend of higher education reform in the next one to two years as said in The NMC Horizon Report (2016 higher education Edition). In the blended learning, the combination of online learning and traditional learning has brought new opportunities and challenges to improve the teaching of higher education.The interaction and timeliness of learning in Blended Learning requires a platform to support learning to provide a virtual learning environment. For teachers, the Udemy platform is a complete learning management system and free to create courses. For students, the operation interface is simple and easy to use, and the platform has the functions of discussion and test, which provides the possibility for the development of the learning activities.In this study, I used "the Photoshop graphics software application" as a practical course. Through the teaching design of blended learning to change the teaching situation such as the single teaching form, Unreasonable arrangement in aspects of theoretical and practical, high cost of teaching, assessment methods ignore formative assessment and so on.Firstly, this paper introduces the research background, research contents and research methods, then analyzes the present research situation of blended learning, the connotation and the related theory; reference the existing representative blended learning design process, with the features of the Udemy platform, put forward the general process of blended learning based on the design of this platform, then carries on the teaching design of blended learning and the development of the curriculum resources. In the process of implementation, a blended learning model based on this platform is constructed and applied to the teaching of "Photoshop graphics software application" in Wuhan Vocational College of Software and Engineering. Through the observation in the teaching process, questionnaire and interview survey of students, analyze the teaching effect and students for acceptance of learning satisfaction and platform. Besides, I reflected and the existing problems in the process of teaching are summarized, state the disadvantages of my research and put forward to further research.In the paper, it proves that Udemy platform is helpful to the development of blended learning activities to some extent, which provide some reference for the teachers to use the platform to carry out the blended teaching in other courses. At the same time, it is concluded that the advantages of blended learning in the practice of the course of operation.
