With the development of communication network technology, the Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET), as a key part of the next-generation network, have been widely researched and have attracted much attention, while designing and achieving the routing protocol for reliable communication has been always a research hotspot of Ad-hoc network. This paper firstly takes the provision of a scheme for simply and efficiently achieving the routing protocol as the research purpose, then improves the research with respect to the transmission validity and energy efficiency of the protocol, and finally conducts the actual test of the improved routing protocol on the wireless test platform.Firstly, this paper puts forward a new scheme that can simply and efficiently achieve the Ad-hoc routing protocol in a modularized way, based on the in-depth research on basic framework and operating principle of Ad-hoc routing protocol, and combining the characteristics of routing architecture of Linux operating system. For the Ad-hoc routing protocol, this paper provides the steps for achieving the detailed design of each module in the scheme, and also gives a detailed solution for the key technology to achieve the design.Secondly, this paper puts forward a wholly improved Global_OP_OLSR protocol by describing the key research problems of OLSR protocol in table-driven routing protocol, starting from improving the transmission validity of OLSR protocol, analyzing and proving that the traditional OLSR protocol is defective, and performs the simulated protocol comparison test on the OPNET simulation platform; the test result indicates that the Global_OP_OLSR protocol in the large-scale Mobile Ad-hoc Network environment can effectively improve the network performance of the protocol. At the end of this chapter, the modular design and realization method is adopted to achieve the design of the improved protocol. This paper puts forward an improved and energy-efficient reverse AODV(ER-AODV) routing protocol by deeply analyzing the limitation to and disadvantage of on-demand routing protocol in the complicated and changing Ad-hoc network environment and starting from improving the energy efficiency of AODV protocol. The simulated protocol comparison test of the improved protocol is performed on the OPNET simulation platform, and the test result indicates that the ER-AODV protocol in the Mobile Ad-hoc Network environment can effectively improve the energy efficiency of the protocol under the premise of not affecting the network transmission validity. At the end of this paper, the modular design and realization method is adopted to achieve the design of the improved protocol. Finally, this paper performs the actual test of Global_OP_OLSR and ER-AODV routing protocols that adopt the modular design and realization method, by establishing the WLAN-based wireless test bed environment and relevant software and hardware systems; the test result indicates that the GLOBAL_OP_OLSR protocol and the ER_AODV protocol in the small-scale lab test environment have similar network performance with the OLSR protocol and AODV protocol and their routing functions are verified to be normal, which proves that the modular design scheme is feasible.
