Max weber's sociology thought is profound .Around the occurrence and development of Western rational capitalism,he conducted a thorough and meticulous investigation about the factors that influent the economic development, such as the culture, political, law and religion,which formed a huge system of sociological theory.However,among Max 'Weber's sociology researches, some emphasizing the cultural elements while others highlighting the social structure,which leads to the dividing line between "culturalism" and "institutionalism".All of these researchers'works have certain rationality in studying weber's sociology,but they are not biased on the whole.In order to explore the real appearance of weber's sociology thought,the author will make a comparation and refining about weber's own works and the related writings described by scholars of domestic and abroad, trying to have an objective and comprehensive explanation of weber's sociology thought.Weber's sociology thought was informed under the influence of the development problems of Germany's capitalism, vulgar political economics,Historical school ,Germany's speculative idealism and Neo-Kantianism .In order to guarantee the scientific nature of sociological research, Weber put forward the principle of "value free" to solve the value problem of sociological research in the aspect of methodology.On research methods, Weber argued that sociological research should implement"explanatory understanding".The concept and strategy of such methodology reflects the bivariate analytical perspective.Under the guidance of his methodology, Weber studied the occurrence and development of Western rational capitalism from two aspects:social mentality and institutional arrangement.The perspective of social mentality elucidated mainly around the religious ethicl that represented in the form of national culture temperament and the perspective of institutional arrangement discussed from angles of politics,law and religion.The above analytical perspectives in weber's sociology thought are existed at the same time and connected closely.
