Objective:Through the survey to figure out medical students' nutrition knowledge, attitude, practice and nutritional status,to make recommendations and scientifically guide the rational nutrition behavior of medical students,as well as to improve the nutrition level and formulate the corresponding intervention measures about healthy lifestyle.Method:Medical students from a university in Nanjing were chosen as the research subjects, then 1010 students were extracted by stratified cluster sampling method to carry out the questionnaire survey. And 83 students of them were selected to proceed physical examination and blood tests.Logistic regression analysis was used to discuss the main factors influencing the medical students' nutritional status.Results:1.The average score of medical students' nutrition knowledge achieved 9.77 ±2.59 points, the accuracy rate was 65.11%.Medical students' obtained the most nutrition knowledge from Internet. The most effective way to get nutrition knowledge was through nutrition class or lecture.Nutritional attitude achieved 14.29 ±2.51 points, the score of nutritional attitude was positively correlated with the score of nutrition knowledge.Nutrition behavior achieved 59.57±5.16 points, the score of nutrition behavior was positively correlated with the score of nutrition knowledge.2.The scores of nutrition knowledge?nutritional attitude and nutrition behavior had a correlation. The correlation coefficient(r)were 0.242?0.152?0.254(p<0.05),with statistic significance.3.The nutritional status:161 subjects(15.94%)had malnutrition,773 subjects(76.53%)had normal weight, and 76 subjects(7.52%)were overweight or obese. The sex(male)was a protective factor of malnutrition, the monthly expense on food<500rmb?poor breakfast habit?picky eaters?hunger high frequency?low frequency were risk factors of malnutrition. The sex(male)was a risk factor of overweight or obese, the rest of indicators had unconspicuous effect on overweight or obese.4.The results of physical examination and blood tests of the medical students showed:13 subjects(15.66%)had major Waist-to-hip ratio,4 subjects(4.82%)had little high blood pressure,6 subjects(7.22%)had increased heart rate, about 27.7%subjects had elevated Lp(a)in blood indicators. All these indicators had no correlation with nutrition KAP.Conclusions:1.The medical students' nutrition knowledge level remained to be further improved; Most of the medical students had a positive attitude towards nutrition; The overall situation of medical students' nutritional practice was not optimistic, there were still many unreasonable nutrition behaviors.2.The nutrition course and the family's attention to nutrition had a positive effect on the improvement of nutrition knowledge, attitude and behavior.3.The survey of medical students' overall nutritional status needed to be improved. The proportion of Lp(a)increased significantly, which needed furtherimprovement. And there was no correlation with nutritional KAP.4.Nutrition knowledge affected nutrition attitude and nutrition behavior, and nutrition behavior affected nutritional status. There was a correlation between nutritional knowledge, attitude and behavior(P<0.05).The results of this investigation were consistent with the KAP theoretical model.
