Study On Fang Xiaoyue's Chinese Literary Criticism

In the 1920s,under the influence of Movement to "Reexamine the National" and western literature ideological trend,great changes have taken place in Chinese academic circles.Literary criticism not only won the general recognition,but also become a class of literature as a modern academic science.Famous scholars such as Guo Shaoyu,Luo Genze,Fang Xiaoyue,etc.consciously threw themselves into this research field,and lay a foundation for the subject of the history of Chinese literary criticism by their distinctive research way.Guo Shaoyu and Luo Genze's criticism history books were recognised by academia since they were first published.And Fang Xiaoyue's Chinese literary criticism also broaden the research view and writing form of history of Chinese literary criticism by his unique research method and theory.He made a useful contribution to the history of Chinese literary criticism subject.Fang Xiaoyue's Chinese literary criticism draw heavily on western academic ideas and research methods,but showing a "balanced" and"reconcilable" academic argument on value judgments.So Chinese literary criticism presented not only modernity of academic transformation,but also ancient blood of traditional academic study.He explained classical literary criticism based on mutual understanding attitude in specific historical and cultural context and aiming at pursuing the truth;On writing style,he took historical clues and transvrsal theoretical explanation as longitude and latitude,aiming to approaching different critics' critical theories from criticism.On the research scope,Fang Xiaoyue expanded the research materials to General Literature.Besides,under the perspective of Chinese and western reconciliation,Fang Xiaoyue explored the system of ancient literary theory,aesthetic standards and the subject of the history of Chinese literary criticism's research method.Of course,in the influence of the times consciousness and writing style,Fang Xiaoyue's Chinese literary criticism also had inevitable limitations.Because of this,the research purpose of this paper is to comprehensively present the unique research methods,tradition maintenance,the theoretical research in modern transformation and inevitable limitations of Fang Xiaoyue's Chinese literary criticism.Only in this way,can we obtain its value to contemporary Chinese literary criticism history research.
