The interpretation of the concept of “virtual clothing” is that on the basis of the plot, the designer depends on artistic imagination, creation or uses high-tech means to create the costumes that are not necessarily consistent with the reality. In the end, the thesis analyzes the unreasonable place of the application of film and television costumes, puts forward the mission of film and television costumes: to guide the audience to establish correct aesthetic value and to add positive energy to China's film and television.Through the above research, the author proposes film and television costume which is a special language of film and television dissemination, has the functions of ideographic expression, symbolism, metaphor, etc. Through artistic creation, film and television costume lets people upgrade from the visual aesthetic to the thought aesthetic; at the same time it can let people savor the film and television drama to lead to thinking.
