The Heritage And Applied Study On Ethnic Costumes Of The Ewenki Minority In Modern Costume Design

The Ewenki minority is a typical sparsely populated minority in the north of China.Ewenki tribes mainly live in the Hulunbeier grassland and Daxinganling area, divided into theSoren tribes, Tungus tribe, and Yakut tribes. At present, the daily production and lifestyles ofthe Ewenki have appearance of the Han assimilation basically and serious loss of traditionalcostumes, which have not caused social concern in a large margin. This little-known ethnicminority, its costume culture of the original ecological and its mystical lifestyle are not knownby the general public until the release of original ecological stage play Aoluguya at BeijingPoly Theater in2010. People in all walks pay relative concern to the extinctive huntingculture and the traditional cultural heritage.The three tribes of the Ewenki minority have distinctively different ways of dressingrespectively, which are directly related to their different production lifestyles and demonstratethe constant development and evolution of its history. This unique ways of production and lifehave formed a unique culture of the forest and grassland, which reflect remarkably on ethniccostumes of the Ewenki minority.From the viewpoint of art design, based on practical study data, the study on ethniccostumes of the Ewenki minority is carried out, which is combined with the video picture andhistorical documents. Firstly, the paper mainly studies the history of its ethnic costumes,analyzes the impact of its traditional lifestyles and its unique geographical environments onthe culture of its ethnic costumes. Secondly, from the perspective of costume detail, types andcharacteristics of traditional ethnic costumes of its three tribes are collected; the particularityof its heritage of the traditional making technology and the primitive belief are stressed for theimportance of forming its costume culture. Thirdly, by exploring more of the essence, itanalyzes heritage reasons and specific characteristics of the traditional culture influenced bythe modern culture, in which the cultural studies of minority costumes is further deepened,and has laid a solid foundation for the creation of the ethnic costumes. Finally, by the studyon cultural heritage of ethnic costumes of the Ewenki minority, the paper strives to tapstarting design point of traditional costumes and modern clothing of the Ewenki minority, andsummarizes the design integration methods of minority costume features with modernclothing. The paper is positively significant for carrying forward the tradition of the costume culture of ethnic minorities and promoting its development. Moreover, the paper makes agreater contribution to the spread of the Chinese minority costumes to the world and promotesfurther foreign costume exchanges.
