Effects Of Electroacupuncture At Baliao Point Before Procedure For Prolapsed And Hemorrhoids On Complicationsin Patients With Mixed Hemorrhoids

Objective:To observe clinical effects of electroacupuncture at Baliao point 30 min before Procedure for prolapsed and Hemorrhoids(PPH)on anal pendant expansion,pain and first urination within 24hs in patients with mixed hemorrhoids.Methods:Sixty cases of patients with mixed hemorrhoids were divided into electroacupuncture group and operation group randomly,30 cases were found in both groups.Electroacupuncture was applied at Baliao point 30 min before PPH in the electroacupuncture group,however,there was no treatment before the surgery in the operation group.The scores of anal pendant expansion and pain in the 6h,12h,18h,24h after PPH were compared.The scores of the persistent time about anal pendant expansion and pain within 24hs and first urination between the two groups were also compared.Result:Analysis of the baseline:1.Each Patients ofthese two groups anticipated tests,without falling off and quitting,30 cases in each group.2.By statistical analysis no significant difference was found in gender,age,course of the disease between the two groups(P>0.05).Analysis of the therapeutic effect:The scores of anal pendant expansion and pain in the 6h,12h,18h after PPH and the persistent time about anal pendant expansion and pain within 24hs and first urination were lower in the electroacupuncture group.Statistically significant difference was found(P<0.05).The scores of anal pendant expansion and pain in the 24h after PPH in the electroacupuncture group were lower than the operation group,however,no statistically significant difference was found(P>0.05).Conclusion:The electroacupuncture at Baliao point 30 min before PPH can not only decrease the degrees of anal pendant expansion and pain in the 6h,12h,18h after PPH but also the persistent time about anal pendant expansion,pain within 24hs and the first urination for patients with mixed hemorrhoids.
