Clinical Observation Of Huangqi Baoxin Decoction In The Treatment Of Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huangqi Baoxin Decoction in the treatment of patients with heart failure due to deficiency of both qi and Yin and Qi deficiency and blood stasis type ejection fraction by observing the effect of Huangqi Baoxin Decoction on cardiac function classification,brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)level,echocardiography,6 minute walking experiment and TCM syndrome of heart failure patients with ejection fraction,so as to provide a new way for TCM treatment of ejection fraction preserved heart failure.Methods:70 patients with HFPEF of Qi and yin deficiency or qi deficiency and blood stasis type were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,while the treatment group was given Huangqi Baoxin Decoction on the basis of Western medicine treatment for 3 months.The changes of cardiac ultrasound(E/A,LA,E/E ’),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),6 minute walking test(6MWD),TCM symptom score,cardiac function classification,liver and kidney function and electrolyte were compared before and after treatment of the two groups,and the data between the two groups after treatment were compared and studied.Results:1.The levels of BNP and 6MWD in the two groups were different before and after treatment.There were significant differences in the control group(P<0.01),and there were significant differences in the treatment group(P<0.01).There was a difference between the treatment group and the control group after the treatment(P<0.05).2.The echocardiographic indexes of the two groups were different before and after treatment,and the difference of LA,E/A and E/E ’in the treatment group was significant(P<0.001),the difference of LA,E/A and E/E in the control group was significant(P<0.001).There was no difference between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(P>0.05).3.The symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine in the two groups were different before and after treatment.The difference of the treatment group was significant(P<0.01),the control group had significant difference(P<0.01),and the difference between the treatment group and the control group was significant(P<0.001).4.In the two groups,the classification of cardiac function before and after treatment had a high efficiency,of which the total effective rate of the treatment group was 97.14%,the total effective rate of the control group was 77.14%.There was a difference between the treatment group and the control group after the treatment(P<0.05).5.There was no difference in liver function(AST,ALT),renal function(CREA,BUN),electrolyte(K+,Na+)between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.After treatment,the levels of BNP and 6MWD in the two groups were improved,and the treatment group was particularly prominent,indicating that the Huangqi Baoxin decoction combined with western medicine was superior to the western medicine only in improving the level of BNP and 6MWD.2.Two groups treatment can both improve the echocardiographic index of patients,there is no difference between the two groups.Compared with western medicine alone,Huangqi Baoxin decoction had no statistical difference in heart ultrasound level.3.TCM symptoms of two groups of patients were alleviated,and the treatment group improved better.Which shows that Huangqi Baoxin decoction is better than western medicine alone in improving TCM symptoms of patients.4.Two groups treatment can both improve the heart function of the patients,the treatment group has a definite effect,indicating that Huangqi Baoxin decoction helps to better improve the heart function,its effect is more obvious than the only use of Western medicine.5.There was no liver,kidney and electrolyte abnormal phenomenon in Huangqi BAXIN decoction combined with western medicine group before and after treatment of patients with liver function,renal function and electrolyte safety monitoring,confirming that Huangqi Baoxin decoction has a good safety.To sum up,the preliminary clinical observation shows that the addition of Huangqi BAXIN decoction on the basis of Western medicine is safe for the treatment of the heart failure of ejection fraction,and it is better than the western medicine in improving the patients’ BNP,6MWD,heart function and TCM symptoms.
