ObjectiveInvestigate the status of perfectionism and job performance among nurses with different demographic characteristics, explore the difference between nurses’ self-evaluation of work performance and their self-evaluation and their relationship with perfectionism tendency.Comparison of work performance between nurses with perfectionism and non-perfectionism.This paper demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of improving nurses’ work performance from the perspective of improving nurses’ Perfectionism tendency, and provides a reference for improving nurses’ work performance.MethodUsing the method of cross sectional design,290 nurses from three first-class general hospitals in Luoyang were selected as the research objects with convenience sampling method.A questionnaire survey was conducted with the tools of general survey of nurses,Yang Li’s revised perfectionism scale and Wong Tinghui’s work performance scale.IBM Statistics SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the survey data.Descriptive statistics was used to describe the demographic data andoverall distribution of the respondents. The independent sample t test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the differences between nurses’ Perfectionism tendency and nurses’ Job Performance Self rating score and their dimensions in general demographic conditions.T test was used to analyze the self-evaluation and the score of the work performance, and the difference between the two results was compared.Person correlation coefficient was used to analyze nurses’ Job Performance Self rating score and job performance, and the correlation between his evaluation score and perfectionism;Using linear regression analysis, nurses’ work performance self-assessment score as dependent variable, and perfectionism as independent variable, the influence of independent variables on dependent variables was analyzed. The subjects were classified by the high and standard subscales of the revised version of the near perfect scale. The median method is used to clarify the nurses.a person with a score higher than the median is called a perfectionist, and a person with a score below the median is called a non-perfectionist.Positive perfectionism tendency of nurses(high standard low group),Nurses were divided into four groups: negative perfectionism nurses(high standard and high difference group),non-perfectionists(low standard low difference group)and non-perfectionists(low high standard group differences).Result1.The scores of perfectionism dimensions of nurses from high to low were:order(5.55±0.89),high standard(5.10±0.84),and difference(4.36±0.93)2.The influence of demographic characteristics on perfectionism tendency of nurses: there were no significant differences in the scores of perfectionism among nurses of different ages, marriage, birth status, age of care, and whether or not they were the only child. The difference of perfectionism score among nurses with different professional titles was statistically significant. The head nurses’ adaptive perfectionism scores higher.3.The total score of nurses’ work performance was(59.87±7.30),and the total score was(4.98±0.60).The scores of each dimension from high to low were as follows: interpersonal facilitation(5.15 ± 0.65),job dedication(4.92±0.73),task performance(4.88±0.66)4.Comparison of nurses’ job performance among different demographic variables: There was no significant difference in the total score of work performance and the scores of each dimension between the nurses with or without the only child,Different marital status, fertility status and age have significant effects on nurses’ job performance and dimensions,Among them, married, children, work more than 10 years of nurses got the highest score of each dimension; There were statistically significant differences in the dimensions of work performance and overall scores of nurses with different titles,The nurse in charge got the highest score in work dedication, nurse got the lowest score in task performance dimension,The higher the title, the higher the performance, the rest has no statistically significant; There were statistically significant differences in the dimensions of work performance and the overall score of nurses at different ages,In the job dedication, task performance and job performance scores of nurses with the age over 35 were higher than the26-35,26-35 years old nurse are higher than that of 25,the nurse older than 35 score the highest on the interpersonal facilitation.5.According to the corresponding nurse perfectionism and job performance scores plot, nurse perfectionism and job performance can be divided into four sections respectively,I and II,III and IV,and when the nurse’s perfectionism tendency in a certain range of job performance remained at the maximum6.Correlation analysis showed that high standards and order of perfectionism were positively correlated with job performance, and differences were negatively related to job performance.Regression analysis showed that high standard linear positive predictive job performance, order linear predict the job performance positively, difference negative predict the job performance negatively.7.The nurses with positive perfectionism tended to have the highest job performance, followed by the nurses with negative perfectionism, while the non-perfectionist had the lowest job performance Conclusion1.The perfectionism tendency of clinical nurses was at a moderate level, and the scores of adaptive perfectionism tended to be higher than those ofmaladaptive perfectionism, the charge nurses’ adaptive perfectionism scores the highest.2.The job performance of nurses is at the middle level, and the interpersonal promotion dimension is the highest. The job performance of nurses is influenced by demographic characteristics, such as marriage, birth, and age of care3.When the perfectionism score of nurses was in the range of [100 108],the job performance of nurses was stable at the maximum, and the job performance showed "inverted U" distribution on the left and right sides, and the overall level of the right was higher than the left4.The nurses with positive perfectionism tended to have the highest job performance, followed by the nurses with negative perfectionism, while the non-perfectionist had the lowest job performance...
