ObjectiveTo evaluate current status of life quality in patients with maintenance hemodialysis;to investigate the influence of diet intervention-based new family support on their life quality;and to provide references for elevating the life quality and clinical efficacy of patients with maintenance hemodialysis.MethodsA total of 212 patients, which were admitted to the blood purification center of a Third-Grade Class A hospital in Hengyang March2015March 2016,were selected as the research objects. They were randomized divided to control groups?106 patients?and intervention group?106 patients?.Patients in intervention group were treated with normal maintenance hemodialysis nursing care, diet intervention-based new family support for 6 months, while the control group patients receivedmaintenancehemodialysisonly.Thechangesof self-management behavior, control of fluid intake compliance, blood pressure and biochemical value were assessed;Analyzed the nutritional effects of diet intervention from the dietary structure indicators, anthropometric indicators and biochemical indicators; The World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale?WHOQOL-BREF?was used to assess the quality of life of 212 hemodialysis patients before and after the trial.Results1.The scores of self-management behavior in the intervention group which were measured in 3 and 6 months after intervention improved significantly, the difference was significant, and all had statistical significance?P<0.05?.2.The values of fluid intake compliance of intervention group in 3and 6 months after intervention were significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.3.The changes of blood pressure and biochemical values in 6 months after intervention:values of SBP?SCr?DBP?BUN?K+?P3+?Ca2+in the intervention group were significant lower than those in the control group?P<0.05?.4.Nutrition status of the intervention group in 6 months after intervention:?1?Measurement index of dietary structure:total heat, the amount of carbohydrate and protein reached 50%of the normal standard value of patients, which was significantly improved, with statistical significance?P<0.05?;the intake of carbohydrates, fat, protein of the intervention group was also significant improved than that of control group?P<0.05?.?2?The measurement of anthropometric indicators:from the changes of the triceps skinfold thickness and arm muscle circumference, the nutrition condition of the intervention group has been significantly improved?P<0.05?.?3?The measurement of biochemical indexes:The serum albumin level of intervention group was 13.21%lower than the standard value, while it was 25.47%lower than standard value in control group, the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?;The proportion of anemia in the intervention group was 20.75%lower than that in the control group?42.75%?,and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.5.The quality of life satisfaction score of the intervention group was 3.43±0.87,scores of Reproductive health, mental health status, psychosocial function,Living conditions were as follows:15.69±1.93,14.47±1.96,14.22±2.75,11.93±2.17 respectively. And the total score of life quality was56.32±6.85.Compared with the control group, the values of 4 dimensions of quality of life?QOL?and life quality in the intervention group were sig nificantly higher?P<0.05?.ConclusionThe quality of life of patients with hemodialysis stayed in a significantly low status, the application of diet intervention-based new family support to patients with hemodialysis could improve their nutritional status and quality of life.
