Analysis Of Hypolipidemic Drugs Patent Competition Situation

Purpose:Patent information of hypolipidemic drugs in china and abroad was investigated by information mining,to reveal the current status of drug research and development in the field of medical research and development,analyze the development stages of patent technology,hot technology areas and core technologies,core patent application agencies and other related information.It also helps the relevant pharmaceutical enterprises to determine the focus of research and formulate development strategies.Methods:Using social network analysis method and clustering analysis method to analyse the hypolipidemic drugs patent information which is derived from SIPO(State Intellectual Property Office)and DII,including patent applications volume analysis,patent technology life cycle analysis,the patent applicant and the number of cooperative network analysis,and patent citation analysis,patent technology clustering analysis.Results:In China,the number of patent application of hypolipidemic drugs and the number of applicants showed an upward trend,and patent applications were affected by regional economic and policy conditions.Scientific research institutes focused on the research and development of chemical synthetic drug patents,while the enterprise was mainly concentrated on natural plant extracts.The core technology is focused on the development of statins and natural plant extracts.Abroad,the number of patent application of hypolipidemic drugs was on the increase;and technology has matured.The principal applicant including MERCK & CO INC,HOFFMANN LA ROCHE & CO,BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM INT GMBH,SANOFI SA;There is less cooperation among the core enterprises.Hot technology focused on the three major areas,traditional Chinese medicine and its preparation,drugs for the treatment of lipid disorders and new guanidine derivatives.Meanwhile the core institutions havemany patents in hot technology areas.Conclusions:Technology research hotspots of hypolipidemic drugs patent in china and abroad are all concentrated in three major areas,traditional Chinese medicine and its preparations,drugs for the treatment of lipid disorders,new guanidine derivatives.At present.China’s R& D level continues to improve,R & D team continues to grow,in which the main chemical R & D drug research and development forces for major research institutions.Meanwhile,from the overall geographical distribution,regional policy has an important impact on the development of enterprises.At present,several international core pharmaceutical enterprises are less cooperative,but their research capacity and level of innovation are relatively high,and the current focus is on the development of PCSK9 inhibitors.In the overall technology has entered the mature stage of the situation,and vigorously develop new technologies,can help enterprises better seize market opportunities.
