Study On Prevention And Control Of Public Health Emergencies In Yuexiu District Of Guangzhou City

In recent years,public health emergencies occur frequently in various regions of the world,which has been a huge hit to the residents’ safety and daily life.In the backdrop of fast-growing public health emergencies,it has been a important global issue for governments that how to manage public health emergencies effectively.China is in an important period of economic transformation now.Since the SARS epidemic in 2003,the central government has paid growing attention to the prevention and control of public health emergencies,by making strategic planning and deployment for the development of grass-roots health administrative departments and public health service institutions.It also requires governments at all levels actively cooperate with relevant public institutions to enhance the development of public health,with government investment in public health increasing by years.Scientific and reasonable measures can effectively prevent the public health emergencies,or minimize the social harm and property damage by them,which is quite an essential topic for our government.It is of great significance to carry out the research on prevention and control of public health emergencies,which can promote the strengths of prevention and control of emergencies in national and regional areas,ensure the safety and health of public,as well as achieve coordinated and orderly economy development.This research was based on empirical analysis of public health emergencies management in Yuexiu District,Guangzhou City.Firstly,the author made literature review on both concepts and theories of public health emergencies prevention and control.Secondly,according to the definition of emergency prevention and control,the paper systematically analyses those existing problems in public health emergencies prevention and control from three aspects: Monitoring and warning,emergency disposal and recovery,and some infections are listed to illustrate this operating system in the paper,and if necessary,it takes those counteractions for representative infections,which take place in the region,such as SARS,Type A H1N1 influenza,Dengue Fever as example,to explain that inadequate monitoring and early warning capability,less coordinated emergency disposal and recovery mechanism do exist in public health emergencies prevention and control.Last but not least,aiming at the problems in prevention and control of emergencies,follow the principles of building a public health emergency prevention and control system,and learn the experience of developed countries which effectively respond to public health emergencies prevention and control,put forward a more comprehensive public health prevention and control measures.The author comprehensively improved the theory of public health emergenciesmanagement in Yuexiu District from three aspects: strengthening the organization system of public health prevention and control,improving the prevention and control mechanism of public health emergencies and promoting the protection measures of public health emergencies.
