Analysis Of Clinical Curative Effect Of Acupuncture Treatment On Glaucomatous Optic Atrophy

Objective1 Take acupuncture on glaucomatous optic atrophy and use modern medical testing methods to take objective evaluation of the clinical efficacy of acupuncture.2 To analyze the distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medical(TCM)syndromes of glaucomatous optic atrophy preliminarily.MethodsFrom January 1st,2016 to December 31st,2016,30 eyes of 16 glaucomatous optic atrophy sufferers who visited the outpatient department of ophthalmology of Xiyuan hospital were randomly successively accepted the treatment program A and program B.Program A is basic treatment of glaucoma and Program B is basic treatment of glaucoma with acupunctural treatments.The main acupoints were Baihui,Shangjingming,Qiuhou,Cuanzhu,Fengchi,Guangming,Zusanli.The secondary acupoints were accorded to the TCM syndromes,for example,liver qi stagnation syndrome chose Taichong,Hegu,Ganshu,Blood stasis syndrome chose Neiguan,Xuehai,Geshu,liver and kidney yin deficiency chose Ganshu,Shenshu,Taixi,Sanyinjiao,and blood deficiency syndrome chose Pishu,Sanyinjiao,Xuehai,Yanglao.To acupuncture on the back without retaining needle,and then make the patient supine,with 75%alcohol on the acupuncture site for routine disinfection.Shangjingming and the acupoints around the eyes were only needed to retain the needle for 25 minutes without lifting thrusting and rotating.The other acupoints were pricked with mild reinforcing-reducing method.Electroacupuncture to the density wave pulse connected to the Zusanli of two legs,the intensity adjust to the patient can tolerate comfortably.The program A treatment period was one month,washout period lasted also one month,and program B retained the needle for 25 minutes,30 times a course of treatment.The test indexes were visual acuity,intraocular pressure,visual field including mean sensitivity(MS)and mean defect(MD),Chinese medicine symptom integral.Analyze the clinical curative effect of acupuncture treatment on glaucomatous optic atrophy by observing the change of the indexes and illustrate the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes by observing Chinese medicine symptom integral.Results1 The visual acurity,mean sensitivity(MS)and mean defect(MD)were improved to different degrees after acupuncture 30 times in both test group and control group.2 The distribution of TCM syndromes were mainly composed by liver and kidney yin deficiency,accounting for 53%,followed by liver qi stagnation syndrome,accounting for 36%.3 There were significant difference in before and after treatment of Chinese medicine symptom integral.ConclusionAcupuncture treatment can improve the patients,visual acuity and visual field of glaucomatous optic atrophy in varying degrees,significantly lower the traditional Chinese medical(TCM)syndrome scores,and improve the patient’s systemic symptoms.Therefore,acupuncture is an effective adjuvant treatment of glaucomatous optic atrophy,can be popularized in clinical practice.
