Objective:This study is focused on the relationship of the relevant risk factors such as blood lipids, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, glycosylated serum protein, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, total cholesterol and other major complications, with diabetic retinopathy and TCM syndromes.Discover the correlation between TCM sydromes and DR classification. To early prevention, early detection and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, and provide clinical assitant to slow progress. Methods:Sellect all the relative patients in the department of endocrinology from Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine during January 2014 to January 2016,and all the patients take retrospective inveistigation. All the 213 cases were diagnosed with type 2 diabete and newly diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy during hospital stay. After into the standard screening, all patients were divided into different group of DR classification.Statistics of all groups of patients with blood lipids, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, glycosylated serum protein, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, total cholesterol and other major complications. To explore the relationship between these factors and DR,and to categorize all DR patients according to the TCM syndrome type. With Yin deficiency,qi and Yin deficiency,Collaterals blood stasis resistance syndrome, liver and kidney deficiency, mesh nourishing syndrome;and the deficiency of Yin and Yang, blood stasis resistance Tan Ning the Chinese medicine dialectical analysis four kind of this syndrome. The TCM syndromes, related risk factors, fundus examination and clinical test results were recorded. The computer recorded data and analyzed by SPSS 16.0 statistical software package. The quantitative indicators were expressed by the mean ±standard deviation. The statistical tests were performed using rank and nonparametric tests(Wilcoxon test was used to compare the two groups, and Kruskal-Wallis law to compare more the two gruops);count data using variance test;level data correlation analysis using Spearman rank correlation test;unified hypothesis test using two-sided test;the test statistic is given and the corresponding P value to P<0.05 as statistically significant.Result:DR was closely related to systolic blood pressure,HbAlc,GSP,total cholesterol,CRP and diabetic nephropathy;eye bleeding related risk factors are HbAlc and CRP.Between TCM Syndromes and DR grading significant relationship in which progress DR liver and kidney yin and yang deficiency syndrome and two patients with severe deficiency,TCM syndrome factors of age, disease duration, random blood glucose,FPG,HbAlc,GSP,etc.,the probability of each TCM retinal hemorrhage patients are substantially the same. Conclusion:The study found that although the DR and DM are closely linked, but not in order to determine the extent of DR progression, some patients with asymptomatic or mild symptoms when treatment is already NPDR or PDR of the progress made in DR has a certain particularity, actively control blood sugar levels, blood pressure, lipid levels can effectively prevent the occurrence and development of DR,but still positive follow-up to control the DR eye occurrence and development. In the xiao ke eye disease,qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, liver and kidney syndromes are more common.Deficiency of Yin and Yang usually means to a very serious DM stage.the progress of DR is relatively independent, but also to the eye focally differentiation, but traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation from the overall judgment DR development for early diagnosis of DR has significant advantages. The study of selected data is limited, but also need to expand the sample size, stratification for large-scale epidemiological studies, the disease may have a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of syndromes and the clinical significance of different syndromes have deep level of understanding.
