The Study Of Clinical Observation On Acupuncture Treatment" Sun’s Thirteen-ghost Points" In Treating Post-stroke Depression

ObjectiveWe adopt "Sun’ s thirteen-ghost points" to treat post-stroke depression on the basic of dialectical method,and evaluate this treatment’ s effect on clinical nerve function defect grade and depressive state and then discuss the effective method to treat post-stroke depression.MethodsSixty cases of outpatient and ward are selected fromThe First Affiliated Hospital of GuangZhou University of TCM department of acupuncture and moxibustion.These cases are the standard post-stroke depression patients.We divided these cases into two groups at random--thirty cases for treatment group and thirty cases for control group respectively.The patients of two groups are carried on the basic treatment according to the neurology clinics convention.The treatment group(thirtheen-ghost points group):put Renzhogn,Chengjiag,Fengfu as the main points.Stagnation of liver-qi adds Shenmai,Shangxi point.Stagnated-qi transforming into fire adds Laogong,Quchi points.Depression with syndrome of anxiety injuring spirit adds Daling,Shangxing points.Heart-spleen deficiency adds Yinbai,Daling points.Yin-deficiency and fire-hyperactivity syndrome adds Shenmai,Laogong points.Five continuous treatments in every weeks and rest two days,and ten times as a course of treatment.And we do two courses of treatment.The control group(fluoxertine group):to the depression,adopt oral administration of fluoxertine hydrochloride capsule 20 mg,once per day and put two weeks as a course of treatment.And then observe two courses of treatment.Two groups of patients are conducted the evaluation of scores of clinical nerve function defect grade and Hamilton depression rating scale before treatment,after treatment two weeks and after treatment four weeks respectively.All data of clinical research adopts statistical software SPSS18.0 to proceed.Measurement data use mean and standard deviation(X±S)to indicate,the significant difference between groups adopts t-test,the significant difference between enumeration data groups adopts chi-square test,and the significant difference between ranked data adopts ran-sum test.Results1.Before treatment,through statistic analysis,the difference from the basic data(gender,age,course of disease,SSS score,HAMD score)between the cases in the treatment group and the control groups are not statistically significant(P>0.05),that means the baseline data of two groups’ patients is comparable.2.After two weeks’ treatment,we found from the intra-group comparison,the SSS score,HAMD score of two groups’ patient are lower compared to the period before treatment.The difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).It indicates both two treatments could improve degree of nervous functional defects and depressive state.We found intra-group comparison,the SSS score,HAMD score of two groups’ patient has no statistical significance(P>0.05),It indicates after two weeks’ treatments,two treatment methods has not significant improvement for degree of nervous functional defects and depressive state.3.After four weeks’ treatment,we found intra-group comparion,the SSS score,HAMD score of two groups’ patient has a significant decrease.The difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).It indicates both treatment methods could improve the degree of nervous functional defects and depressive state.We found between groups,the difference of the SSS score,HAMD score of two groups’ patient has statistical significance(P<0.05).Moreover,the treatment group has better improvement in the SSS score and HAMD score compared to the control group.In other words,the treatment groups has better outcome in improving the post-stroke depression patients’s the degree of nervous functional defects and depressive state.4.After four weeks’ treatment,we put two clinical effects of two groups’ patients into statistical analysis,the result indicates the treatment groups has total effective rate 90.00%.Among them,six cases clinical control,fifteen cases excellence,six cases effective,and three cases invalid.The control groups has total effective rate 83.33%.Among them,three cases clinical control,seven cases excellence,fifteen cases effective,and five cases invalid.The comparison of the final outcome of two groups patient’ s after treatment has statistical significance(p<0.05).And the treatment group’ s effect(total effective rate 90.00%)is better than that of the control group(total effective rate 83.33%).That means,the effect of Sun’ s thirtheen-ghost points is better than that of fluoxertine in treating post-stroke depression.ConclusionBoth acupuncture Sun’s thirtheen-ghost points group and fluoxertine group have clinical effect on treating post-stroke depression.In compare,the total clinical effect of the treatment group is better than the control group.Moreover,in improving the degree of nervous functional defects and depressive state,the treatment group has advantage.Therefore,Sun’ s thirtheen-ghost points has obvious curative effect on treating post-strokedepression,which is recommend to clinicians for reference.
