| Objective:Meta-analysis is used to evaluate major risk factors of brucellosis and their associated main strength, which mainly including:(1)Consumption of raw milk products;(2)Working without protective clothing or gloves;(3)Contact with aborted animals or the abortion of any animal;(4)Buying or selling farm animals;(5)Processing and cleaning meat products;(6)Selling,slaughtering and processing skins. This paper aims to explore the correlation between these factors and the incidence of brucellosis, which provides a basis for evidence-based medicine in the prevention of the disease. Methods:Pubmed,Medline,Embase,CNKI,CBM,Wan Fang database and VIP were searched for published literatures on the relation of brucellosis and its risk factors and relevant articles were retrieved from inception to Octobor,2016.According to the inclusion and exclusion criterion,The type of articles are case-control studies or cohort studies, searching language includes English and Chinese. All the collected articles were evaluated with literature quality evaluation methods introduced by the Cochrane collaboration. The results of the meta-analysis were analyzed by using Stata 11.0 software, using odds ratio(OR)as the effect value ofcount data factors and 95% confidence interval(CI)to represent each effect size range. The publication bias was evaluated by means of Begg’s funnel plot and Egger’s methods. Results:Finally 16 articles were included, including 9 Chinese articles and 7English articles. The results of Meta analysis are as follows:(1)Consumption of raw milk products: the combined effect size OR=2.657,95%CI(1.966-3.591),p<0.001;(2)Working without protective clothing or gloves: the combined effect size OR=6.328,95%CI(4.040-9.911),p<0.001;(3)Contact with aborted animals or the abortion of any animal: the combined effect size OR=4.231,95%CI(3.104-5.766),p<0.001;(4)Buying or selling farm animals: the combined effect size OR=2.295,95%CI(1.598-3.296),p<0.001;(5)Processing and cleaning meat products: the combined effect size OR=3.424,95%CI(1.782-6.580),p<0.001;(6)Selling,slaughtering and processing skins: the combined effect size OR=4.281,95%CI(2.586-7.087),p<0.001.Conclusion:Brucellosis is zoonotic disease caused by Brucella, which seriously threatens to human health and results in huge economic losses. In my study, the results show that consumption of raw milk products;working without protective clothing or gloves;contact with aborted animals or theabortion of any animal;buying or selling farm animals;processing and cleaning meat products;selling, slaughtering and processing skins are all high risk factors of brucellosis.Based on the above findings, pastoral staff should strengthen protection at work,in order to achieve the goal of preventing the occurrence of the disease. |
