Objective:To observe the clinical effect and safety of modified Xiao Yao San on the treatment of women with stagnation of liver qi and blood deficiency of Chronic Constipation so as to provide guidance for clinical treatment.Methods:Depending the random group design,60 women patients who were diagonosed of stagnation of liver qi and blood deficiency syndrome of chronic constipation were divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group were treated with modified Xiao Yao San group,The polyethylene glycol 4000 powder(Forlax)were applied to control group.The whole treatment lasted for 8 weeks.After the end of treatment,evaluated the proportion of patients with more than 3 times SCBM,changes of single item score and total score of main symptoms,total effective rate of TCM symptoms.Follow up to observe 4 weeks long-term effect.The results were analysed by spss 22.0 software.Results:1.the patients reaching an average of three or more spontaneous completely bowel movements(SCBM):After fourth weeks of treatment,treatment of group and the control group were 30%and 26.7%;The end of the eighth week,the proportion of patients who SCBM more than 3 times of two groups were 36.7%,and 36.6%separately,there were no significant difference(P>0.05).2.Main symptom:The symptoms of the two groups were alleviated in different degrees after treatment.On single main symptoms of chronic constipation,the treatment group had similar effect on improving difficult defecation、fetal property and defecation frequency compared with control group(P>0.05),while had better effect on relieving endless defecate(P<0.05).After the treatment,the total score of constipation symptoms of treatment group was statistically significant difference compared to the control one(P<0.05).3.TCM syndrome:Evaluation of curative effect of companying TCM symptoms,the total effective rate of treatment group and control group was 90%and 76.7%respectively.There was statistical difference between two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group on secondary symptoms was significantly better than the control group.4.Long-term effect:Follow up half month after the end of treatment,the proportion of patients SCBM>3 times per week and total score comparison of main symptoms of constipation had no difference(P>0.05);one month after treatment,compared SCBM>3 times perweek and total score of two groups of the main symptoms of constipation again,the result had statistical difference(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group can maintain curative effect.The patients did not appear side reactions during the treatment,which suggested that modified Xiao Yao San had reliable clinical safety.Conclusion:Modified Xiao Yao San has obvious effect on improving the clinical symptoms of chronic constipation in women with stagnation of liver qi and blood deficiency,It has more advantages in the aspect of TCM syndromes and long-term efficacy.
