The major of vocational nursing is a very practical curriculum.Practice teaching has a very significant influence for training the students' skills.Meanwhile,mastering the proficient skills is good for the students to adapt themselves to any job requirements.With the increasing demand for application-oriented talents in medical institutions,practical nursing has been an important component of the nursing education.And the development of information technology has triggered a series of changes of practice teaching mode.It has been an efficient teaching method to apply the information technology to the vocational practice teaching.It can not only improve the practical teaching quality,but also can help to improve the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality and the ability for sustainable development.This paper take the practical teaching in two secondary vocational health schools in Yantai as the examples and the writer conducts the research from the aspects of the information technology-related hardware and software resources,the teachers' level of IT knowledge as well as the ability to apply the IT knowledge to practice teaching,and the students' ability for autonomous learning based on information technology.The research methods includes literature,questionnaires,and interviews and so on.According to the survey,both of the two vocational school have some problems in practice teaching based on IT,mainly including the backward or poor hardware facilities and the lack of software resources,the unskillful faculty in utilizing the IT knowledge,the inadequacy of content or method for skill-oriented persons' cultivation,and the weak awareness of applying the IT knowledge to autonomous learning for the students themselves.Considering the problems talking above,this paper puts forward the relative countermeasures and proposals combing with the IT and the current situation of nursing education in China.Firstly,improve the configuration of practice teaching in nursing school.Secondly,enhance the building of teaching staff in nursing practice teaching.Thirdly,develop innovative teaching contents and methods and improve the students' independent learning ability with the help of IT.Finally,strengthen the combination of in school practice and off campus practice.To conclude,this paper means to provide new ideas for applying the IT to improve the teaching quality in nursing practice teaching and it is ideally suited for in school practice teaching of vocational nursing major.
