Investigation And Analysis Of 5645 Cases Of Children’s Unintentional Injuries

Objective To investigate and study the characteristics of children’s unintentional injuries of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and nearby, to explore the intervention measures, and to provide theoretical basis for reducing the incidence of accidents in the future.Methods Retrospective study and analysis of the 5645 cases from the his system of our hospital that from 2010 January to 2014 December due to accidental injury in my hospital’s that age of 28 days after birth to 14 years old of children’s medical records, the data were analyzed statistically by SPSS 19.0.Results In the cases of 5645,the causes of accidental injury in children were burn(1744 cases, 30.9%), fall / fall injuries(1215, 21.5%), road traffic injuries(923 cases, 16.4%) and foreign matter(627 cases, 11.1%). The main causes of injury in male children were burn scald, fall/drop injury, traffic accident and foreign matter. The main reasons of female children were burn scald, fall / drop, foreign matter and traffic injury. There were statistically significant differences between male and female in traffic accident(p < 0.05), and there was a significant difference between male and female(p < 0.01). The difference was statistically significant between the different age groups, the fall / fall wound, burn and scald, traffic accident, impurity and other damage differences in age group have significant statistical significance(p < 0.001), animal poisoning and grasping bite in the difference between the age groups was statistically significant(p < 0.05). Different accident type and prognosis than the differences were statistically significant, which fall / fall wound, burn and scald, traffic accident, foreign body, drowning and other injuries prognostic differences have significant statistical significance(p < 0.001), poisoning the prognostic differences are statistically significant(p < 0.05).Conclusions The situation of children accident in our region is different from that in other areas in the past. It comes down to the following five aspects.:firstly, burn scald is the NO.1 "killer" caused by accidental injury of children’s, followed by the drop / fall injuries traffic accidents and foreign matter; secondly, the number of children aged 3 to 1 years was the most; thirdly, boys are more likely to occur unintentional injury than girls; fourthly, in all cases, the prognosis of most cases is good; fifthly, in a variety of types of injury, traffic accidents caused the most deaths, followed by falls / fall injury and burn and scald. The goals of reduce and avoid the occurrence of unintentional injury of children is, we should not only promote education to the whole society, but also should appeal to the government to pay attention to the children’s mental and physical health, and to improve the living environment around us, at the same time, we are concerned about the health care workers, and strive to learn, improve the medical level, improve emergency facilities, meanwhile contributed to a force for the healthy growth of children.
