Correlation Research Of Propagated Sensation Along Meridian And Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution

Objective:To explore the correlation between propagated sensation along meridian(PSM) and the traditional C hinese Medicine(TCM) constitution for the different ages through the comparison of the distribution characteristics of TCM constitutions and meridian incidence and transmission level of different ages. And to obtain the related of TCM constitution types with PSM, so as to enrich the distribution characteristics of PSM transmission. Then according to the physical conditions of choosing acupuncture therapy, improve the appearance of the sense of incidence and the rate of the disease, so that the clinical diagnosis and treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion could achieve better results. Methods:Eight hundred and ninety- five people from students at Inner Mongolia Medical University, outpatient and inpatient of Hohhot Sino-Mongolia Hospital, community hospital outpatient service and physical examination crowd were selected, eight hundred and forty cases were ultimately included after inclusion, exclusion criteria and data quality control screening. They were divided into three hundred and twenty-six cases of youth group, two hundred and forty-three cases of middle aged group and two hundred and seventy-one cases in elderly group. The TCM constitution of all the research objects was determined, and the PSM was determined. The distribution of TCM constitution, the occurring rate and transmission of PSM in each group were observed. And the correlation between PSM and the TCM constitution were preliminary investigated by Logistic regression analysis. Results:1 Distribution of TCM Constitution in different age groups.(1) Compared of the nine constitution distribution proportion of the three groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). The distribution proportion of youth group from high to low: gentleness, Yang deficiency, Qi deficiency, yin deficiency, phlegm dampness, special intrinsic quality, Q i stagnation, blood stasis and damp heat. The distribution proportion of middle age group from high to low: Gentleness, Yang deficiency, Q i deficiency, yin deficiency, Qi stagnation, phlegm dampness and da mpness heat, blood stasis, intrinsic quality. The distribution proportion of elderly group from high to low: Q i deficiency, Yang deficiency, gentleness, damp heat, Q i stagnation, yin deficiency, phlegm dampness, blood stasis, intrinsic quality.(2) Compared of distribution proportion between the normal constitution and partial constitution in the three groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). And the proportion of the normal constitution: youth group, middle aged group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2 Occurring rate and transmission of PSM in different age groups.Compared of the positive occurring rate and transmission of PSM in the three groups, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).3 Occurring rate and transmission of PSM in different constitution.The proportion positive occurring rate for nine kinds of TCM constitutions in the whole population, from high to low was that: special intrinsic quality, gentleness, yin deficiency, Q i deficiency, Yang deficiency, damp heat, phlegm dampness, Q i stagnation and blood stasis. and the different physical youth group, middle aged group and elderly group of PSM positive rate proportion distribution tendency and the whole population is relatively consistent. Compared of the positive occurring rate and transmission of PSM for nine kinds of TCM constitutions in that of youth group, middle aged group and elderly group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4 Logistic regression analysis results showed that the correlation between PSM and the TCM constitution.There was a positive effect of the gentleness(P=0.025), special intrinsic quality(P=0.018) for the circulation of PSM in the whole population, and the negat ively effect for blood stasis(P=0.043). There was a negatively effect of the Q i deficiency(P=0.025), phlegm dampness quality(P=0.019), blood stasis(P=0.012), Q i Stagnation(P=0.035) for the circulation of PSM in youth group. There was a positive effect of the gentleness(P=0.001) for the circulation of PSM in middle aged group. And there was a positive effect of the gentleness(P=0.001), yin deficiency(P=0.004) for the circulation of PSM in elderly group. Conclusion:1 The physical distribution of differe nt age groups is different. The normal physical is more than biased constitution in youth group, and the biased constitution to the majority of Yang deficiency; The biased constitution are more than normal constitution in the middle aged group and the elderly, and the biased constitution to the majority of Yang deficiency in the middle aged group, the majority of Q i deficiency in the elderly group.2 PSM positive rate and degree of transmission is the objective existence, do not change because of the changing age.3 PSM positive rate proportion of nine kinds of physical circulation for the tendency: PSM positive rate of special intrinsic quality, gentleness and yin deficiency are relatively high; then Q i deficiency, Yang deficiency and damp heat; phle gm dampness, Q i stagnation and blood stasis are relatively poor.4 For the whole population, gentleness and special intrinsic quality would be the susceptible constitution in circulation of PSM, but the people of blood stasis would not be easy to appear the phenomenon of PSM. From different ages, Qi deficiency, phlegm dampness quality, blood stasis and Q i Stagnation in Young people would not be easy to appear the phenomenon of PSM; gentleness in middle-aged people would be the susceptible constitution in circulation of PSM; gentleness and yin deficiency in elderly people would be the susceptible constitution in circulation of PSM.
