Objective:1. To explore the correlation between C3 and the dysfunction of heart and kidney in hypertensive patients.Methods: 1. The test recruited 78 hypertensive patients and 32 cases of normotensive patients. The general clinical data、biochemical examinatinon、echocardiography、IMTmean and the serum complement C3 were measured. 2. All the selected subjects were divided into hypertensive group and normotensive group in accordance with their blood pressure level.The differences of the general clinical data、biochemical examinatinon、echocardiography、IMTmean and the serum complement C3 level in each group were shown by mean±standard deviation to test whether they are significantly different(P<0.05). 3. The correlation between complement C3 and the general data 、 biochemical examination 、 echocardiography and IMTmean each were analysed respectively,then screen out the positive indicators(P<0.05).4. Age、body mass index、fasting plasma glucose as the adjusted factors,the partial correlation between complement C3 and the general clinical data 、 biochemical examinatinon 、echocardiography、IMTmean each were analysed again,then screen out the positive indicators(P<0.05). 5. Complement C3 as the independent variable,the positive indicators above as the dependent variable,the linear regression analysis were performed in respective(P<0.05).Results:1.The age、gender、BMI、prevelance rate of coronary heart disease、brachial systolic blood pressure 、 brachial diastolic blood pressure 、 serum total cholesterol 、 low density lipoprotein、complement C3、cystatin C、glomerular filtration rate、uric acid、interventricular septal thickness between the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05).No significant difference were found in fasting blood glucose、serum triglycerides、high density lipoprotein、apolipoprotein A1、apolipoprotein B、serum creatinine、serum urea nitrogen、left ventricularending diastolic diameter、left ventricular ending systolic diameter、left ventricular ejection fraction、IMTmean between the two groups. 2.The correlation between complement C3 and body mass index、brachial systolic blood pressure、brachial diastolic blood pressure、fasting blood glucose 、 serum triglycerides 、 serum total cholesterol 、 low density lipoprotein 、apolipoprotein B、left ventricular ejection fraction each were positive(r>0,P<0.05),the correlation between complement C3 and cystatin C、serum creatinine、serum urea nitrogen、left ventricular ending systolic diameter were negative( r<0, P<0.05). No significant correlation were found between complement C3 and age、glomerular filtration rate、uric acid、high density lipoprotein、apolipoprotein A1、interventricular septal thickness、left ventricular diastolic diameter 、 intima medial thickness respevtively in respective. 3.After the partial correlation analysis in which body mass index 、 fasting blood glucose and the blood lipid index as the adjusted factors, you wil find that there is a significantly positive correlation between complement C3 and left ventricular ejection fraction(r>0,P<0.05),but negtive correlation between complement C3 and cystatin C、serum creatitine、serum urea nitrogen、left ventricular ending systolic diameter respectively(r<0,P<0.05). No significant correlation were found between complement C3 and brachial systolic blood pressure、brachial diastolic blood pressure、glomerular filtration rate、uric acid、interventricular septal thickness 、left ventricular diastolic diameter、IIMTmean respectively(P>0.05). 4. After the linear regression analyses in which complement C3 as the independent variable,cystatinC、serum creatinine、urea nitrogen、left ventricular ending systolic diameter、left ventricular ejection fraction as the dependent variables respectively,it turns out that the correlation between complement C3 and cystatinC(r=-0.390 constant quantity=1.571)、serum creatinine CR(r=-90.238 constant quantity =172.043)、 urea nitrogen BUN( r=-6.308 constant quantity =12.492)、 left ventricular ending systolic diameter(r=-0.454 constant quantity =3.717) were significantlynegtive(r<0,P<0.05),the correlation between complement C3 and left ventricular ejection fraction(r=7.417 constant quantity =54,778) were significantly positive(r>0,P<0.05).Conclusions: 1.The activation of complement C3 is involved in the physiopathogenesis of hypertension. 2. The increasing serum level of complement C3 may plays a role in improving the function of heart and kidney in hypertension.
