| Objective:To investigate influence of the traditional drug cupping therapy on patients with cold dampness type Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion(LIDP).Method:60 patients with cold dampness type LIDP from Qinzhou First People’s Hospital were randomly divided into an observational group(30 cases)and a control group(30 cases),according to the number table methods.In the control group,lumbar traction therapy,acupuncture and manipulation were used in combination,while the observational group was introduced traditional drug cupping therapy on the basis of the intervention of the control group.The course was 6 times in two groups,the course interval was one day.The curative effect was compared between two groups after four courses.TCM syndrome score and JOA low back pain score(JOA score)before and after treatment were observed in two groups.Results:(1)In the observational group,among the 30 cases,14 cases were cured,11 cases were obviously improved,4 cases were improved and 1 case ineffective.In the control group,among the 30 cases,7 cases were cured,10 cases were obviously improved,12 cases were improved and 1 case ineffective.The statistical results showed that the curative effect of the observational group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).(2)Before treatment,the TCM syndrome scores and JOA scores of two groups had no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores and JOA scores of the observational group were(5.38±1.47),(25.56±5.27)scores,which were lower(or higher)than those in the control group[(8.41±2.55),(20.21±4.25)scores]respectively,the differences were both statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Routine comprehensive conservative therapy combined with traditional drug cupping therapy has a significantly good curative effect in the treatment of cold dampness type LIDP,which is worthy of clinical popularization and application. |
