Clinical Research On Acupoint Application Therapy For Acute Phase Cold Of Pediatric Asthma

Object:This paper choose acupoint application combined with Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of children with asthma on cold syndrome.The obvervational index were main clinical symptoms,signs,PEF,FEV1 and other indicators.The observation was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and provide a better prevention and control plan for the children with asthma on cold syndrome.Methods:60 patients were randomly divided into control group(group Sheganmahuangtang)and the treatment group(acupoint application combined with Chinese herbal medicine Sheganmahuangtang),30 cases in each group.Treatment group children treated by acupoint application every other day with Sheganmahuangtang once a day.Control group children treated by Sheganmahuangtang once a day.A period of treatment is 7 days and we observe two periods.Then their integral of symptoms and signs and the determination of PEF and FEV1 values are observed before and after treatment.Results:(1)The comparison of main symptoms and signs:the treatment group was significantly better than control group in coughing,wheezing,limited mobility,chest tightness,wheezing,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The comparison of PEF,FEV1:After the treatment,PEF,FEV1 indicators were all increased in the treatment and control groups;between the two groups,the treatment group were better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The comparison of the clinical efficacy:In the treatment group of 29 children with asthma,8 cases were markedly improved,3 cases turned better,13 cases were clinical contrl,3 cases in vain,total effective rate was 89.7%;While in the control group of 28 children,4 cases were markedly improved,8 cases turned better,8 cases were clinical contr,8 cases were in vain,total effective rate was 71.4%.After statistics processing,the difference of effective rate of two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)There were no adverse effects were found in the treatment group and control group.Conclusion:Acupoint application combined with Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of children with asthma on cold syndrome is better than Sheganmahuangtang alone.This therapy is significant effect,safety,simple,and worthy of promotion.
