ObjectiveTo study the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the blood glucose level of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the time period surrounding gastric bypass surgery.Methods48 T2DM patients from departments of general surgery undergoing gastric bypass surgery during 2014 September to 2015 December were randomized into this study.24 T2DM patients from control group underwent diabetes routine care, including health education, fingertip blood glucose testing.24 from experimental group had been given comprehensive nursing intervention including health education about GBP, lifestyle intervention, wearing the DGMS(?) Real-Time monitoring and GT3X, prevention of complications. Then OGTT(FBG,PBG30min, PBG60min, PBG120min, PBG180min), and HbA1c were tested and Home-IR was calculated on the second day in the hospital and the day before discharging.Results1. In control group, there were no statistically difference in OGTT, HbA1c, Home-IR before and after diabetes routine care intervention(P>0.05). In experimental group, the OGTT level raised, with HbA1c and Home-IR declined. So the difference of those indexes were statistically significant before and after comprehensive nursing intervention (P<0.05).2. After the intervention period, the OGTT level raised, with HbA1c and Home-IR declined in experimental group, so the indexes were significantly different in experimental group and control group(P<0.05).Conclusion1. Compared with diabetes routine care, comprehensive nursing intervention is effective on the OGTT and HbA1c of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the time period surrounding gastric bypass surgery.2. Comprehensive nursing intervention can help patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus improve insulin resistance.
