Tamarix chinensis,distributing mostly along the river,is rich in natural genetic resources in Xinjiang province,and suitable for the inoculation with Cistanche tubulosa to improve its total output.It is very meaningful for the research on spatial distribution characteristics of roots for natural Tamarix chinensis,effects on roots distribution from water source and variation features of soil temperature in winter,which will improve the survival rate of inoculation for Cistanche tubulosa in the natural forest of Tamarix chinensis and its safety for overwintering.As the object of natural Tamarix chinensis forest along the bank of Nanping reservoir in Moyu county,Xinjiang province,this paper is a research on three natural Tamarix chinensises respectively 35 m,105m and 143m from the reservoir,for their roots distribution characteristics and the relationship between roots distribution and the water source;we continuously monitor the air temperature and soil temperature in the same region in winter,to research the soil depth of permafrost in winter and the response characteristics of soil temperature and air temperature;and to find the feasible artificial measures for warming soil;at the same time,we do experiment in inoculation to Cistanche tubulosa in the north bank of Nanping reservoir in Moyu county,Xinjiang province,to assess the methods to inoculate Cistanche tubulosa in the natural forest of Tamarix chinensis.Then the results show as follows:?I?In the horizontal direction,the distribution of root length density?RLD?near the water source is developed in the direction far away from the taproot.The RLD is the largest when in horizontal distance of 90110cm or 3050cm?for Tamarix chinensis quite distant from the water source?from the taproot,that is to say,no matter far and near,the root surface area density?RSAD?is larger when Tamarix chinensis is closer to the taproot.While in vertical direction,the maximum RLD is in soil layer of depth 020cm or 2040cm,and is decreased with the increase of soil depth.The soil depth of largest RSAD is deepened with the increase of water distance.In a word,the roots of Tamarix chinensis is obviously hydrotaxis in growth,and the roots distribution tend to be concentrated at the side of the water,when the roots are closer to the water;but when the roots are farther to the water,the roots distribution tend to be average,no significant difference?P>0.05?in each direction;and the roots can be stimulated on growth in the direction of temporary water.?II?The average diameter of Tamarix chinensis roots is enlarged with the increase of water source distance,and decreased with the increasing distance from the taproot;in vertical direction,with the increase of soil depth,The root average diameter of Tamarix chinensis have the trend of after first became thicker.???The soil temperature decreases with the temperature drop,and increases with the increase of soil depth in study area.The maximum depth of frozen soil in study area was below70 cm in winter,frozen period of 1060 cm soil layer lasts longer,the frozen period of 70cm soil layer is only two days.The 80 cm soil layer soil temperature never fell below 0?.???When being inoculated with Cistanche tubulosa near the water source with Tamarix chinensis,the inoculation rate decreased with the distance increase to the water source.Adding Handilon and GA3 into the seed pulp can improve the inoculated rate.The inoculation methods includs Seed paper,artificial seeding and seed pulp brush on root can be successfully,with similar inoculated rate.???The mulching can effectively increase the soil temperature,To compare with treatment 2?the grass curtain is 10m in length,3m in width?and treatment 4?the Plastic film is10m in length,3m in width?with CK?bare land?,the average soil temperature was significantly different between them?P<0.05?.heat preservation effect of treatment 2 is the best,capable of making the minimum soil temperature in 60 cm depth soil layer increase 1.74?,also capable of making the frozen period of 60 cm depth soil layer reduced to 0 days.treatment 4 increased1.35?of soil average temperature to CK,shortening 20 days of frozen period in 60 cm depth soil layer.To compare treatment 1?the grass curtain is 10m in length,1.5m in width?and treatment 3?the Plastic film is 10m in length,1.5m in width?to CK,the soil temperature was not significantly difference between them?P>0.05?.Although irrigation in winter increased soil temperature than CK,but due to significantly reducing the average soil temperature and prolonging frozen period,it is not suitable for antifreeze.
