Optimization Research On Snow-melting Measures For Road And Bridge In Tianjinbinhai New District

In order to reduce traffic accidents and congestion caused by snows, the snow-melting agent is used to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. However, snow-melting agent brings serious corrosion and pollution to road? bridge and vegetation. Considering that snow-melting agent plays a indispensable role in daily life, this paper focus on optimization research to use it scientifically, and to minimize its adverse impact.The deicing salts based on chlorides, which are mostly used at present, have strong corrosion to reinforced concrete structure bridge and asphalt concrete pavement. To resist the corrosion of snow-melting agent, the anti-corrosion corrosion resistance of infrastructure must be enhanced; also the use of agent must be reduced.There are three ways to clear snow: manual work, snow blower and melting agent. Based on investigation, this paper analyses application conditions, merit and demerit of the three ways. Comparing their efficiency, costs, corrosion and impacts on environment, we have found that snow blower has lower efficiency, but also lower cost. And snow blower is recommended because of its zero corrosion and zero pollution. Snow-melting agent is the most effective way to ensure the smooth traffic and reduce accident in a short time. It is also important to use the agent scientifically. The best way is to use it with other methods. With combined use of diffident kind of agent according to actual conditions, people can maximize their effect and avoid unnecessary waste.This paper also provides usage of agent and snow blower under different temperature and snowfall in south, north, northeast and northwest area of China. Optimization is realized through scientific use of agent with higher efficiency, lower consumption and lower pollution.
