Ride comfort affects drivers' driving experience so as to affect customers' buying attention.Ride discomfort is easy to induce drivers'fatigue and long-term ride discomfort can even induce physical illness. Many factors can affect a vehicle's ride comfort such as the user's subjective favor, body dimensions, seat structure, seat dimensions, vibration, temperature, humidity, air quality and driving duration et al.It's the driver who evaluates ride comfort. These factors relating to ride comfort affect the driver 's psychology or physiology and then the driver gets his own subjective experience about ride comfort. So a method considering the driver's musculoskeletal information was proposed to evaluate ride comfort. Some quantitative indexes were used to predict ride comfort. The main research of this paper includes the following three aspects:First.,based on the musculoskeletal model.the effect of different seat parameters on human's musculoskeletal factors was analyzed.Subsequently,by correlation analysis and significance test, the number of these musculoskeletal factors was decreased and a function using these factors was proposed to evaluate ride discomfort.Second, using electromyography data of real drivers, these drivers' discomfort in different cases was evaluated based on the proposed function. The electrocardio noise and power frequency disturbance in electromyography were eliminated by high pass filtering and comb band stop filtering. Then root mean square values of different muscles'electromyography data were calculated.Subsequently electromyography data while muscles'maximum contraction was recorded. Then muscles' activities were calculated and the ride discomfort value was calculated by the above function using muscles' activities. Finally, the effect of different vibration frequencies on erector spinae's fatigue was studied. The indicator of muscle's fatigue was researched by an experiment:The result showed that the medium frequency and mean power frequency decreased with muscle's fatigue. Then an experiment was conducted at a vibration platform and electromyography data of erector spinae was recorded in different frequencies. The noise in electromyography data was reduced by high pass filtering and independent component analysis. The experiment's result showed that the change of medium frequency and mean power frequency had no obvious rule with different vibration frequency.
