Research On Chinese Automobile Industrial Upgrading Under GVC

At present, the international division of labor in the value chain is obtaining more and more attention by international experts and scholars in our country from the macro-perspective to our country manufacturing industry, high-tech industry and service industry value-added calculation, index and so on has carried on the comprehensive analysis and research.Based on the main research object Chinese automobile industry and the research about the present situation of domestic automobile industry, this article try to study the problem of the status of international division of the auto industry and industry upgrading in the theoretical foundation, with the methods of comparative analysis, case analysis. This article is combined with the hot topic in the research of global value chain in the micro level. With the OECD GVC status index and the participation index mentioned in "Mapping the global value chain" and the proportion of output value, domestic analysis the status of Chinese auto industry in the international division. Taking Shanghai automotive industry corporation for example, analyze the SAIC in the position in the international division of labor, as well as to improve their own position. SAIC is in the front of motor industry to speed up independent R&D capability, speed up the development of independent brands and new energy vehicles. At the rear end of the industrial chain, Chinese automobile enterprises should speed up the development of automobile after-sale service, finance business and so on combined with consumer demand and the Internet economy. At present, China’s auto industry is in a stage of vital turning point. The level of tech needed by independent brand motors lags behind and tech of joint brand motors relies on foreign multinational automobile enterprises.Overall, most Chinese automobile enterprises need to break the shackles by itself, a breakthrough development bottleneck, the Chinese automobile enterprise needs to explore a road to development, realize the industry as a whole.
